| I love this game! I seriously do.
I can't stand car race games typically. The only exceptions are The Simpsons Hit and Run and Grand Theft Auto games, which aren't really car race games, but they do have those elements.
But Burnout: Revenge is just awesome. Take the very first level (first grading, first track, first race), for instance. Your objective is to "check" (or HIT) as many cars as possible. With your boost you can bounce these cars off you like its nobody's business.
Handling is awesome, you can take corners easily and with the boost activated you often slide around, barely losing speed.
With all kinds of different game play modes it never gets boring. Some games allow you simply to boost once, no breaking and basically when you land, you get to see the total dollar amount of destruction caused. Take out oil tankers or loaded trucks for the best scores
When you're in an actual race, another 6 cars will try and run you off the road. If they succeed, then you have a revenge target, and you score extra points for taking that car out!
Overall a bloody awesome game. | |
