Dick Clark, who had a very bad stroke over a year ago, hosted the New Years Celebration this year.

What did you think?

Wow, it was really uncomfortable for me to watch.

I was happy for him, that he did it, cause he seems to love his job. However, his words were slurred, he counted it down wrong, I felt embarrased for him.

I had the attitude that he should be able to do the show whether it made me feel weird or not, it showed courage. Then later, I wondered why his family let him do it.

I wonder if he is in the right frame of mind to make these decisions.

I feel in no way did he make a fool of himself, because he is such an ICON, and folks were pulling for him,

however having said that, I don't think it was that good of an idea.

I thought it was couragous of him. I also was a little uncomfortable. I thought it was shocking at first and sad.

I found it to be a very courageous thing to do.. though, I was saddened, and started crying, watching, and listening to him. Personally, if he wants to do it, I think that he should. This is HIS "show" each year... and I was glad that he was still able to be the one there.

I found it to be very courageous. How many people would put themselves out there like that? Stroke is a major cause of disability. He brought some much needed attention to something that could strike any one of us. It is always sad to see someone struggling but for him it was a victory. He is further along than he was a year ago when he was unable to talk. He offered hope to those who have had strokes and are not able to talk. Good for you Mr. Clark.
