Okay, so there's a lotta fighting going on at the moment. The average Australia - including those of middle eastern descent - are just appauled, however many young thugs are going out and just senselessly beating the crap out of people for no good reason.

Apparently it started on Sunday with some Crunulla folk gathering together to target those of middle eastern back grounds. They beat a couple of guys up, and felt mighty good about themselves. Big men, and all of that. "Reclaimed Crunulla for us Aussies we did."



The next few days, young guys of middle eastern descent decided to group together and beat the crap out of some aussies, and destroy Cronulla as best they can. Did an alright job of it too.

The police have been given emergency powers to help deal with these riots, but tensions are high, and both sides seem like a large group of whack jobs. Whack jobs are always hard to deal with.

The Australian kids (25 year olds aren't exactly kids, but going by their level of maturity they're obviously slightly retarded or something) are saying they're sick of "Arabs raping our women" (there have indeed been some rapes of young Australian girls in recent years, though I can pretty honestly say there are more white rapists in Australia than Middle Eastern ones. They're just not racially motivated...). The "Lebs" are pissed at being treated like second class citizens.

All in all, everyone involved is what we Aussies like to call "bloody wankers."

Okay, I just read the initial riot started as an "Aussie Pride" rally.

Sounds like a pretty bad time in OZ. Have the riots stopped yet?

I do remember hearing about this a few days back and unless I have misinterpreted what was said ( probably have I do that a lot apparently) the police had a feeling that it was all going to kick off.

Seems like they're still arresting people and some folk are still going at it (on both sides), but all-in-all its more quiet than it was. There's a photo in the SMH that shows a "fair-dinkum" aussie fellow with VB shirt and all flipping the bird at a photographer... really shows the mentality of these morons.

Apparently the Aussie Pride "Parade" that turned into the initial "lets bash lebs" thing was planned 2 weeks ahead of schedule, and police were there, but in not nearly enough numbers. Honestly, it seems like the middle eastern community has calmed down a tad, and its mainly Aussies retaliating for the past week's violence.

Though I'm still trying to check the archieves... I forgot to check the news over the weekend, so I'm a bit behind.

I have not been following this story at all for the last week. I was following it at the start, but now it has gotten so lame and so stupid and such a waste of time, I am not devoting any energy into even reading about it. It's revolting. It makes me sick to share a country with these morons.
