Do you like the new Dumbledore any better after seeing this movie?

This is an excellent question, and in 14 hours (well, 16 and half, when the movie's over), I'll hopefully be answering 'yes'. I'm really not expecting much from him though.

I just miss Richard Harris. He had a way of making you feel that he really cared about Harry. There was that feeling of affection between the characters. The new one is growing on me slowly. He doesn't piss me off anymore, so it is progress.

I actually found that I like this new Dumbledore... and he's got that COMMANDING voice down!!!

Richard Harris will ALWAYS be Dumbledore, to me.... but, due to his loss of life, this new man is doing much better. I was too filled with anger by a different Dumbledore in PoA... but, this time, I was just seeing Dumbledore.

Dumbledore is supposed to be tall. This guy is kind of short. THey should give him some platform shoes under his robes. This one is slowing growing on me, but he will never have that warmth that Harris did or that McKellan could convey. *sigh

I agree, Sherry... but, he's still not too bad. You're right about his height!

Dumbledore made me shiver. He is supposed to be loving and caring. This new Dumbledore seems stern and different, not the usual book Dumbledore. I truly miss Richard Harris, he did a terrific job doing Dumbledore.

Dumbledore is loving and caring.... but, hard times are a coming.... and that calls for him to be harder. He's harder in the books, as they go along.

Seems exactly the same to me...
