NEW YORK (AP) -- What's it like growing up as the magical Harry Potter? For teen actor Daniel Radcliffe, it's not that weird.

Radcliffe, the 16-year-old star of the upcoming "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," has spent almost a third of his life making movies. His latest film, based on J.K. Rowling's novel, opens in two weeks.

"I've got quite a surreal mind anyway, so I don't think it's made much difference to how I see everything," he told Time magazine. "That's what's weird: I don't think of it as being that bizarre."

Radcliffe was first cast as Potter when he was 11. Since then, a lot has changed: he's taller and his face has become more defined, his voice has changed, he's got complexion issues and is growing starter stubble.

For director Mike Newell, that causes problems.

"I've just been working on a scene which we shot in our first week, and Dan still looks like the little kid that he was in "Sorcerer's Stone," he told Time. "Now, 11 months later, he doesn't look like that at all."

Radcliffe is still waiting for one teenage milestone -- a girlfriend. Have sparks flown between him and Emma Watson, who plays the nerdy Hermione Granger?

"No. But I had a big crush on her when I first met her, definitely," he said. "But she's more like a sister now, so it would be a bit incestuous. It's too weird."

Daniel Radcliffe, the adolescent who plays Harry Potter, now 16-years-old, might have found his sweetheart.
After a crush on Emma Watson, the girl who plays Hermione Granger in the series, he moved towards someone more mature, if one could say so.
That special someone is said to be a trainee hairdresser, whom he met in the summer of 2004, while filming the fourth movie in the series, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”.

The name of the girl is Amy Byrne. She is a 23-year-old brunette, Irish-born.
Byrne’s landlord, Douglas Jackson, says Radcliffe regularly calls at her rented home.

“She does his hair and make-up before he goes to various publicity events in London. They are very close friends. As to whether there's a relationship, I have no knowledge of that”, Jackson declared.
Radcliffe's publicist, Vanessa Davies, also said: “Daniel and Amy are good friends. There is no more to it than a friendship.”

It remains to be seen whether these declarations are hiding the truth or revealing it.
By all means, the boy that started being Harry Potter at the age of 11, is now about to become a real man, as his recent talks to the press include some relevant statements, in which Daniel admits he wouldn't be averse to a night out with Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman...

23! He is only sixteen!

Okay, if he's really thinking about dating a 23 year old, ummmmmmmmmm, well... hopefully his parents will talk some sense into him.

If that 23 year old is thinking about dating a 16 year old, I hope that someone beats the crap outta her.

ummm, hello? It's the press! There's been no evidence to suggest they're dating. Just that they're good friends, which is kinda normal when you're working on set for ages I guess, and the fact that he hasn't yet got a girlfriend. He hasn't got a love life to write about, so they make one up instead. Then again, I could be wrong and she'll come out and say their getting married. Celebs
