Iran president wants Israel ‘wiped off the map’
Ahmadinejad says new wave of Palestinian attacks will destroy Israel

The Associated Press
Updated: 7:31 a.m. ET Oct. 26, 2005

TEHRAN, Iran - Iran’s hard-line president called for Israel to be “wiped off the map” and said a new wave of Palestinian attacks will destroy the Jewish state, state-run media reported Wednesday.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also denounced attempts to recognize Israel or normalize relations with it.

“There is no doubt that the new wave (of attacks) in Palestine will wipe off this stigma (Israel) from the face of the Islamic world,” Ahmadinejad told students Wednesday during a Tehran conference called “The World without Zionism.”

“Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation’s fury, any (Islamic leader) who recognizes the Zionist regime means he is acknowledging the surrender and defeat of the Islamic world,” Ahmadinejad said.

Ahmadinejad also repeated the words of the founder of Iran’s Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who called for the destruction of Israel.

“As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map,” said Ahmadinejad, who came to power in August.

Ahmadinejad referred to Israel’s recent withdrawal from the Gaza Strip as a “trick,” saying Gaza is part of the Palestinian territories and the withdrawal was meant to make Islamic states acknowledge Israel.

In case someone thinks this racial, hateful statement is counter to Islam's view, here are just a few from hundreds. This is NOT twisting the religion of Islam....this IS Islam. It's also PERFECTLY inline with the end time prophesies. Iraq and Iran will make up the heart and soul of the Magog federation.

Qur’an 2:61 “Humiliation and wretchedness were stamped on the Jews and they were visited with Allah’s wrath.”

Qur’an 2:64 “But you [Jews] went back on your word and were lost losers. So become apes, despised and hated. We made an example out of you.”

Ishaq:240 “The Jews are a nation of liars.... The Jews are a treacherous, lying, and evil people.”

Qur’an 33:26 “Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captive. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes, and their wealth. He gave you a country you had not traversed before.”

Ishaq:250 “The bestial transformation occurred when Allah turned Jews into apes, despised.”

Qur'an 59:14 “The Jews are devoid of sense. There is a grievous punishment awaiting them. Satan tells them not to believe so they will end up in Hell.”

Ishaq:254/Qur’an 2:96 “We will not remove a Jew from the punishment. They know the shameful thing that awaits them.”

Qur’an 4:55 “Sufficient for the Jew is the Flaming Fire!”

Qur’an 88:1 “Has the narration reached you of the overwhelming (calamity)? Some faces, all disbelievers, Jews and Christians that Day, will be humiliated, downcast, scorched by the burning fire, while they are made to drink from a boiling hot spring.”

Tabari VIII:130 “The Messenger said during his final illness, ‘Two religions cannot coexist in the Arabian Peninsula.’ Umar investigated the matter, then sent to the Jews, saying: ‘Allah has given permission for you to be expelled; for I have received word that the Prophet said that two religions cannot coexist in Arabia.”

Ishaq:524 “We cannot accept the oaths of Jews. Their infidelity is so great they swear falsely.”

Qur’an 59:14 “They [Jews] will not fight against you save in fortified townships. Their hostility and hatred amongst themselves is strong: you would think they were united, but their hearts they are divided. That is because these [Jews] are a people devoid of sense.”

Ishaq:245 “Do you love Jews and their religion, you liver-hearted ass, and not Muhammad?

Ishaq:248 “Allah increases their sickness. A tormented doom awaits the Jews.

Qur’an 98:1 Surely the unbelievers and idolaters from the People of the Book will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.”

Qur’an 5:82 “You will find the Jews and disbelievers [defined as Christians in 5:73] the most vehement in hatred for the Muslims.”

Qur'an 8.07. “ ‘Wipe the Unbelievers out to the last.’”

Qur’an 22:40 & 2:198 Fight them until the only religion is Islam and Allah alone is worshiped.’”

Looks like Iranians have voted a dangerous idiot into power. Just what the world needs right now.

The only positive thing I've heard about this was that the Iranian PM is young, inexperienced and doesn't have a clue how these kind of comments sounds to the rest of the world. And also that young Iranians have not over the last couple of decades supported the hardliners in Iran.

Israel: Remove Iran from the UN
jpost staff and ap, THE JERUSALEM POST Oct. 27, 2005

Leaders from all across the world responded harshly Thursday to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's call to "wipe Israel off the map".

Ahmadinejad also directed his wrath at countries like Egypt and Jordan which have formal relations with Israel, and other Islamic countries moving toward accommodation.
"Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury," he said at a "World without Zionism" conference.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon instructed Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Dan Gillerman to take action in order to remove Iran from the international organization. Sharon was prompted into action by Vice Premier Shimon Peres, who sent a missive in which he wrote, "It is inconceivable that the head of a nation that is a member at the UN would call for genocide. His call stands against the UN charter and constitutes a crime against humanity."

PA-assisted killers strike again

By Stan Goodenough

October 26th, 2005

Five Jews were killed and up to 30 were wounded in an Arab-perpetrated bombing carried out at a busy open-air market in the Israeli town of Hadera Wednesday afternoon.

Four of the wounded were reportedly in a critical condition. An emergency worker told CNN the injuries from the attack included blast impact wounds, penetration by flying shrapnel, burns from the explosion itself, and post-traumatic stress.

The bomb caused “massive” damage to stalls and vehicles in the area, according to reports.

Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) – the group Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas has left free to kill Israelis in flagrant violation of numerous commitments to prevent them from doing so – took credit for targeting the civilian shoppers.

Speaking from the recently-abandoned Gaza Strip, the PIJ said the attack was in revenge for the IDF’s killing, Sunday, of PIJ leader Louie Sa’adi.

“It is a natural retaliation for the Israeli crimes committed against our people, namely the crime against Louie Sa'adi,” Islamic Jihad spokesman Khader Habib told the AP.

Military sources, however, were quick to point out that a bomb attack of this magnitude took longer than three days to plan, according to Ha’aretz.

The bomber is believed to have been a woman, according to Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra.

Sa’adi was behind two other “suicide” attacks this year: One, in Netanya on July 12, saw five Israelis killed and 90 wounded. In the other, on February 26 in Tel Aviv, four Israelis were killed and 30 were wounded.

PA spokesman Sa’eb Erekat “condemned” Wednesday’s attack. Earlier, however, Erekat had denounced Israel for taking out Sa’adi. The PIJ leader, he said, had been an “innocent” man.

IAF kills Jihad leader and 6 others in targeted Gaza strike
Arieh O'Sullivan and Jpost staff, THE JERUSALEM POST Oct. 27, 2005

quote:
Israel resumed its policy of targeted interceptions Thursday, striking a top Islamic Jihad field commander in Gaza's Jabalya refugee camp and killing at least six other Palestinians.

Military sources confirmed that an aircraft fired a rocket into a vehicle in Gaza, saying that the target was Shadi Mehana, the senior Islamic Jihad commander in the northern Gaza Strip. The army said he was behind the renewal of Kassam rocket attacks since Israel pulled out of Gaza in August.

The Associated Press reported that at least six other Palestinians were killed in the strike on the white Subaru, including Mehana's deputy Mohammed Ghazaineh. The others were believed to be bystanders.

Israel Radio said that of the seven killed, two were children. In addition, 14 people were wounded in the attack, including five children.

The Islamic Jihad vowed to deliver a harsh response to the killings.

The targeted interception came as Israel launched a broad offensive against the Palestinian terror organization following Wednesday's suicide bombing in Hadera that killed five Israelis and injured over 20.

eh, I looked it up and find some sources saying it's true, others saying it's bogus, so I dunno. The captors think it's him. Hard to tell.

Ex-Hostages: Iran's President Was Captor
Friday, July 01, 2005

WASHINGTON — Already saddled with resolving a looming nuclear showdown with Iran, the Bush administration now faces the possibility that that country's new leader helped take 52 Americans hostage in 1979.

"Many questions" have been raised by six former U.S. hostages who have identified Iran's President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (search) as one of their captors more than 25 years ago, President Bush said Thursday

"I have no information," Bush said in an interview with foreign reporters ahead of a trip to Scotland next week. "But obviously his involvement raises many questions

Earlier, the White House indicated that some kind of investigation was in the works.

"I think the news reports and statements from several former American hostages raise many questions about his past," White House press secretary Scott McClellan said. "We take them very seriously and we are looking into them to better understand the facts."

Five Americans who were held for more than a year in the hostage crisis believe that Ahmadinejad was one of their captors.

"You don't forget, even years later," Chuck Scott told FOX News on Thursday. "Even if he dyed his hair blond and shaved his beard, I'd still recognize him."

Guys,

I heard a rumour about him and his past, but I don't know if they're true, and I don't know if anyone can or will verify it.

Arab States Silent on Iran's Remarks

quote:
CAIRO, Egypt (Oct. 27) - Arab governments remained silent Thursday as international condemnation grew over a call by Iran's new president for Israel to be destroyed.

Despite the silence, analysts in the region said Tehran's Arab rivals may quietly be pleased to see the radical regime further isolated by its extremism.

However, some Palestinians - who would have the task of destroying Israel according to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - rejected the remarks.

"We have recognized the state of Israel and we are pursuing a peace process with Israel, and ... we do not accept the statements of the president of Iran," Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said. "This is unacceptable."

[...]

Analysts said Ahmadinejad's uncompromising line highlighted Iran's differences with other Middle East governments and will make it easier for the international community to take a tough line against Iran for its defiant nuclear policy.

[...]

Iran's threatening stance also was counterproductive to its own interests, said Wahby. It reinforces the notion that its nuclear program is aimed at developing weapons despite claims that it is meant exclusively for peaceful power generation.

"Such statement by Tehran will encourage Israel to cling to its nuclear arsenal," Wahby said.

In Iran, most newspapers covered Ahmadinejad's statement, and some ran stories covering the subsequent protests from other countries.

But hundreds of thousands of Iranians are expected to denounce Israel and back Ahmadinejad's comments across the country Friday during the annual al-Quds - or Jerusalem - Day protests.

"The world will see the anger of the Islamic world against this regime" in Israel, state-run television quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki as saying.

Mustafa Alani, an analyst from the Gulf Research Center in Dubai, said Arab states will see Ahmadinejad's speech as showing up the Iranian regime to be "illogical, irrational."

"The Arab countries have benefited," Alani said. "They will never issue a statement, but they are happy that he proved the Iranians, on the regional level, are not rational."

Hidayat Nur Wahid, speaker of Indonesia's People's Consultative Assembly, said Ahmadinejad's comments are a reflection of the pressure Iran is under from the United States and others over its nuclear program.

"America has launched an anti-Iranian nuclear campaign, but on the other hand it allows Israel to have its own nuclear (program). America never criticized Israel and even always protect it by vetoing U.N. resolutions criticizing Israel," said Wahid.

Ahmadinejad also directed his wrath at countries like Egypt and Jordan which have formal relations with Israel, and other Islamic countries moving toward accommodation.

"Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury," he said at a "World Without Zionism" conference.

yep

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9823624/

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stood fast behind his assertion that Israel should be wiped off the map and repeated the call during the nationwide protests Friday, the Muslim day of prayer.

Many marching with him held placards reading, “Death to Israel, death to America.”

At least 200,000 people rallied in Tehran, some chanting “Israel is approaching its death”

Others carried banners reading, “Israel must be destroyed.”

The demonstrations attracted at least 100,000 people in all of Iran’s major cities, while major rallies were held in other Middle Eastern countries.

At least 30,000 people marched in Bahrain, burning Israeli and American flags

Tens of thousands of Lebanese joined a demonstration in southern Beirut organized by the powerful Shiite Muslim guerrilla group, Hezbollah.

Now how ironic/crazy/funny is it, that we have put shiite Muslims, identical to Tehran, in control of Iraq now? How long until they carry "death to America" signs?
