As expected, Delta Goodrem's 'Mistaken Identity' has been outselling all in its path this week and will debut atop the Australian chart ousting Robbie Williams' three week reign.
Williams sold more than 110,000 units of his 'Greatest Hits' in the first three weeks giving him the fastest selling album of the year.
Delta is expected to debut at number one with sales over 40,000 units.
You can expect a good debut for Simple Plan. Their second album 'Still Not Getting Any' is gearing up for a top 10 debut.
King of Leon 'Aha Shake Heartbreaker', The Waifs 'Brief History', Ronan Keating '10 Years of Hits', Elton John 'Peachtree Road' and Shania Twain's 'Greatest Hits' should all debut in the Top 40.
Guy Sebastian's 'Beautiful Life' took another tumble on the HMV chart dropping down to No. 28 in it's 4th week. However it will sell enough to pass the 35,000 sales mark this week, justifying a Gold album certification.
Delta Goodrem's 'Mistaken Identity' Is 'Classy' & 'Strong'
Bernard Zuel of the Sydney Morning Herald reviewed Delta Goodrem's new album 'Mistaken Identity', calling the sophomore effort a "strong, classy and confident one."
Zuel writes, "Rather than make her already mainstream pop style even safer and middle of the road, on a number of tracks Goodrem has thrown in odd turns, dramatic vocal peaks and valleys, thick walls of strings, which agitate rather than soothe, and a darker hue than 'Innocent Eyes' ever ventured into."
Mistaken Identity is certainly more gron up than Innocent Eyes. in IE she wrote more abot teen problems, boys, breaking up, etc. But with MI she's really grown up and the album is more about life and challenges. I think it's a better album.
