GES AT CANCER CASH-IN PLAN

POP babe Delta Goodrem has hit out at advisers who suggested she use her cancer scare to gain publicity.

The19-year-old former Neighbours star battled back from Hodgkin's Disease last year after her shock diagnosis.

And the sexy singer has revealed some of her backroom team ordered her to cash in on her illness and play for public sympathy.

She said: 'I had some people who were working with me who talked to me about turning my health issue into a positive thing for my career.

'I was trying to get my head around the fact I could die and I was being told I could somehow use this to my advantage.'

Delta, who is dating Australian tennis star Mark Philippoussis, also admitted she she found it impossible to come to terms with losing her hair after beginning chemotherapy treatment.

She said: 'I always really liked my hair. I could never get over seeing it in the plug hole when I had a shower or on my pillow after I had been asleep.'

Delta's new single, Out Of The Blue, is released (in the UK) on November 8.

Delta Goodren true to her Mark

DELTA Goodrem has quashed rumours her relationship with Mark Philippoussis is over.

The whispering campaign about the glamour couple started after reports in Britain linked her to Westlife star Brian McFadden.
"It's just we have an overseas relationship," she told the Herald Sun.

"It's a very long-distance relationship, which of course is hard, but everything is fine.

"I hear lots of people are talking about it, but everything is fine."

She has recorded a duet for her new album Mistaken Identity with McFadden, but that's where the association ends. The singer said she was initially worried about the rumours of her involvement with the Irish singer, but they no longer bothered her.

With her health getting back on track, Goodrem is to hit the promotional trail to push her new album.

"Everything's good," she said of her health.

"I'm feeling really a lot more strength. It's kind of like finding myself back to normal again."

Goodrem's new single, Out of the Blue, which was the most-added song to radio two weeks ago, was released in stores last Sunday.

While sick with Hodgkin's disease in 2003, Goodrem thought about performing and writing music to get her through the battle, which is reflected in the new album.

"It's like everyone has spoken about it, now it's my turn to say, you know what, this is how I feel."

After Sunday's ARIAs, where she will perform, Goodrem will get ready to head to London to promote the new album, before trying to crack the lucrative US market.

That is really distressing. You just want to cry everytime you have a shower or try to brush your hair and it's everywhere. It still makes me want to cry when I think about it. She must be over the moon to have her real hair back.
