WHILE Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow was keeping mum over rumours she was pregnant, the director of her latest film appeared to let it slip.

The Oscar-winning actress attended the UK premiere of Proof dressed in a stunning figure-hugging Gucci dress.

Paltrow, 33, did not deny or confirm the rumours.

But director John Madden admitted he had congratulated her after Paltrow's mother Blythe Danner let slip she was going to be a grandmother again.

Paltrow is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Madden prepared to wait for Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow's pregnancy news has left film-maker John Madden with mixed feelings - because he fears she'll take more time off, and he's desperate to work with her again.

Paltrow's mother Blythe Danner reportedly recently let slip that the actress and her husband Chris Martin are expecting a sibling for their 16-month-old daughter, Apple.

And while Madden, who directed Paltrow in Proof and Shakespeare In Love, is happy to learn of the news, he admits he's far from thrilled that he'll have to wait even longer to collaborate with her again.

He says: "It's great! But I suppose it means she'll be taking some time out, and I'll have to wait before I'll be able to direct her again."
