Justin Timberlake to Buy Elvis' Label and Studio

Pop star Justin Timberlake wants to return to his home town of Memphis, Tennessee to buy Elvis Presley's old recording studio and label.

Timberlake heads a consortium of investors in talks to snatch up Elvis' Sun label and Otis Redding's former label Stax - as well as a huge recording complex.

The two firms would be added to the singer's own JayTee label - which he launched this summer.

Ray Fleming of the Memphis Music Foundation says, "We love Justin. He's a native. It's very exciting to have someone of his significance participate in the music scene here."

Pop hunk JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE's links to ELVIS PRESLEY are closer than he's previously disclosed - his grandparents were close pals of the legendary rock 'n' roll star.

ROCK YOUR BODY singer Timberlake had previously spoken about the influence Presley has had on his work, as well as their shared birthplace in Memphis, Tennessee.

But the young star's grandmother SADIE BOMAR reveals that Timberlake's grandfather BILL was a guitarist who jammed with Presley when he lived just a few blocks from the late star.

She says, "Elvis would play for all the men down at the fire station (where Bill worked). Justin started out playing Elvis songs with his grandfather. He just loves Elvis."
