Very nice. What is the story behind "Fond memories of a lost pond"?

That was a grove of trees and a pond near my high school. It was an odd place, surrounded by traffic but you went in there and it was quiet and you'd never know that just 100 feet away in any direction was suburbia.

But now girls are getting pregnant when they are twelve, so by the time they get to high school their kids are going into elementary school, so they had to clear that spot out to build an elementary school next to my high school.

(haha just kidding about the girls pregant at twelve part)

(but only kind of kidding)

point is I can't go back to that pond anymore so this picture is all i have

I despise going back to favourite childhood places, like forests that were once an escape for kids to explore and build those fond memories, only to discover that all those beautiful trees are now a pile of crammed-together houses. It feels so foreign. I like that you used the word "lost" in the pond photo.

Hold onto your "Aunt and Niece" picture. That land may be what they have to use to build schools for the children of the 12 year olds in a few years.

That photo is from a field between my elementary school and my middle shcool. Hopefully they won't have to build another school so close

a lot of those pictures are from parkland, so (hopefully) i don't have to worry about them developed.

About a month and a half ago, I knew I was walking in some pretty heavy winds, but I had no idea until I arrived back home that I was actually walking through a tornado.

I didn't take these pictures, but my cousin did, so I thought I would post them here. Although it was a severe storm, which turned into a tornado, I still find these pictures beautiful.

Storm 3

Storm 4

Storm 5

Storm 6

My daughter and her husband went t down fully equiped with Hasmat gear, boots and gloves to see if anyhing was salvagable. It a saaaD STORY ON FILM.
sHE WOULD CALL ME at night and tell me of the stench still with in the houses ( We all lived within one block of each other

Our neiihborrhood got smashed but good as we were within 3 or 4 blocksof the "breached 17th street levee) It went down at first storm surge and drowned our houses to rooftops)

Not a pretty sight but the photos will fit here Dekka.

These are just a few pictures I took during my vacation at my grandparent's farm in Pennsylvania. Nothing special, I was just playing around with a Sony CyberShot DSC-F717. It's a nice digital camera, but I still prefer old fashoned film cameras. I think it's too easy to manipulate digital photos using programs like photoshop. Anyway, I still really enjoyed the camera. Here are a few pictures I took while just messing with the settings.
