That's the question Desmond asks Locke.

I'm sure of it.

What does THAT mean?

Let's figure it out.

I watched it 3 more times, and looked at his mouth as he was saying it. I'm positive he's saying sillouette.

I was thinking about it, too...

If you have a sillouette, then there's a shadow. The shadow could look like a sillouette.

I have it on tape, I will go watch with the caption on and see what it says.

I think it was snowman, though.

sorry dude. This thread had so much potential too.

I say we still go with it.

What would one Sill say to another Sill?

Answer: I missed you at lunch!

explanation: silly shadow joke about the shadow being next to nothing at noon time, vs. early morning or evening. Not that funny, but all I got at the moment. And I'm not spelling out Sillouette each time, too hard to spell.

two muffins are sitting in an oven

one of the muffins said, gee, it's hot in here.

and the other one's eyes got real big and he said, "holy crap! a talking muffin!"

I have heard voices in my head talking....but a talking muffin?

Too hard to believe.

Frogs croak...

Rabbits hatch.....

Gophers go for something..

But I never heard of a talking muffin.

Maybe a muffled muffler?

What the...

I watch is mouth... as he says it... his lips never connect to make the "m" sound...

And I can clearly hear him pronounce a "t" at the end...

I refuse to believe it's snowman! Refuse! lol

I guess we'll see in about 5 days, eh.

Every single person I've spoken with that watches LOST has done the same thing, Matt... watched it, multiple times. And on all the messages boards, as well, it's the same thing. Everyone is saying "Snowman"

I saw someone else at a message board who--somehow--thought it was this:

"What did one silhoette snowman say to the other silhoette snowman?"

That blew my mind...

I feel like it's the twighlight zone! No matter how hard I try I can't see him saying snowman. lol so weird.

I'll just take a stab and say that maybe, because of his accent and the different ways he pronounces things, his mouth would move differently and be harder to read, and that is why you keep reading something different than what we are hearing?

I have been rewinding and watching that part of the show over and over again...

I can't almost hear "snowman" the first time he says it, but I hear "silhoette" loud and clear the second time... Accounting for the accent, while staring at his mouth, I just don't see how I'm the only one who thinks it's silhoette... this is the werdest thing in the world to me. hahaha...

What if I'm right? How funky would that be? I mean, of us, how many are watching ito ver and over again?

I do have an open mind you know... if I heard snowman I'd believe snowman...

Then again, I was deaf until I was 3... could have damaged my ability to understand what people are saying. So I guess that cancles out having a copy of the show on my 'puter.

Haha... I hope I'm right though!

I haven't been rewatching that part of the episode. Maybe I should check it out, since we taped it. I'm still sur ehe said snowman, though

If it's "snowman" then is the answer:

"I'll melt with you" (reference Modern English's I'll Melt With You) ?

I could have sworn it sounded like "silhouette" to me too and I'm not too crazy.

So I was fishing around the internet for a different answer to "what did one snowman say to the other snowman" and I found someone's theory on the matter:

Apparently Hurley had mentioned that joke in Season 1. So their theory is as follows:

Hurley could be the next one to be chosen as the caretaker. He is Desmond's "him." Maybe the guy in the mental ward was the caretaker before Desmond. That's why he kept repeating the numbers in the hospital. Maybe he went crazy being alone on the island and repeats the numbers he constantly typed in the computer. HMMMMM, Why else would Hurley be the only one truly affected by these numbers?

I dunno....
