"Adrift"
With the abduction of Walt fresh on their minds and their raft destroyed, Michael, Sawyer and Jin fight for their lives and discover a new predator in the roiling ocean. Meanwhile on land, Locke must descend into the hatch when one castaway goes missing inside.
Also, a reminder, at 8/7c, they are going to rebroadcast the season premier, so you folks that did not tape it, can see Desmond in the hatch again, at the beginning and check out all the stuff down there,
knowing it's the hatch this time.

Whidden said this in post #1 :
On the night the shows airs,
You are allowed to post whenever you want, regardless of the time zone you are in,
as long as you post in this thread.
The members on the west coast will know not to check this thread, till the show has aired, so it won't be ruined for them.
You can post in any thread you want, or start threads with spoiler titles*, after 10 p.m. Pacific standard time.
Which is:
11 pm mountain
12 pm central
and 1:00 am east coast.
*spoiler titles like "Locke went down the hatch and found a monkey!!!", etc.
And of course, you can still post in any thread you want, at any time that night, as long as it doesn't contain spoilers. |

| Posted by: Whidden | | they said in the previews for this week, that ALL THE CHARACTERS FATES WILL BE REVEALED.
I take this to mean, that the peeps on the boat will discover the "back of the plane people",
including Jacks girlfriend, Ana Lucia.
And the black ladies husband.
Just guessing, but it makes sense.
Also, I bet we spend most of the time with the boat, and get little hatch time, even though Locke goes back down to find someone,
they do that to you, leave you a cliffhanger, then move on to other cliffhangers,
and then by the time they get back to the first cliffhanger, you can't even remember it.
I want to know who Desmond is, so we will find out about 5 months from now. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Sayzak | | spoiler alert...
The others look like natives of the island... but they also look like they have bad intentions. Maybe religious... And now Walt's significance has increased...
I'm more curious than ever to figure out what those numbers do.
It's funny to see Michael and Sawyer arguing. I think they'll come out of it as better friends somehow. I thought Jin was toast... how did he get back to the island? Probably got picked up by the boat, which means Walt is back on the island. Probably roasting on the black rock or something.
I bet the next episode will be all about Kate, and she'll escape the latch dude, get back to the island, and simultaniousely we'll learn a bit more about her past, how she became a criminal or something.
Meanwhile, the people on the island will be wondering what happened to the people on the raft, and it won't accur to them that they're prisoners on the island to some satanic cult types.
But what do the numbers mean? And what was desmond worried about that number? That counter thing. That reset to 108... | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: KerryO2 | | I don't know why I love this show so much. Tonight's show was a disappointment. So many scenes are shot in the dark and all you can see is an occasional flash of light. There are just too many of those. It seems there are more commercials than show.
There was only about 7 or 8 minutes of show as opposed to almost as much time devoted to those very annoying commercials.
Did you notice that Michael gave baby Walt a white bear? Is that significant? Did Walt conjure up a polar bear on the island?
What other explanation could there be for a polar bear to be on a tropical island? | | Reply To this Message
|
| Posted by: fuscia | | I thought it was odd that Michael gave Walt the Polar Bear. Why does the bear keep showing up? What does it represent to Walt? Dang, how much of the show has to do with the kid? I also wonder if it is some strange cult. Maybe the disease is insanity? I just wish we had some answers. The show was bleah tonight. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | I commented, immediately, to Shannon, when the white bear was pulled from the bag.
Did anyone really listen to the previews for next week? When they showed the guys throw in that "pit" by the others, and a girl is put in there, they are talking about a plane, and she says something about being on flight 815!!!
It's got me thinking that the are multiple "groups" on the island, that have crashed, for some reason, on purpose.
Also... when Desmond was asking Locke if he was "the one" He's obviously waiting on someone. WHO??? To be relieved of his "Duty" or "station"??????? | | Reply To this Message
|
| Posted by: Sayzak | | What was the riddle Locke was supposed to know the answer to? Erm.. "the one" was supposed to know. | | Reply To this Message
|
| Posted by: Lawless | | I couldn't "Hear" what Desmond asked Locke... and wish that I already had my dvr. But, I will have it for next week. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Whidden | | we got left with a Double cliffhanger. Same cliff hanger as last week.
jack vs desmond gun battle.
But it's cool.
Desmond deflated from God like status, all knowing hatch dude,
to messed up scared confused hatch dude.
Last week, we thought he would have all the answers, all the power, now we see he is stuck down there and waiting for "HIM".
Yeah, who is "HIM", and what was the count thingy on the wall? New questions.
I don't know, I really was on Sawyers side last night, old Link was a butt the whole show,
I don't care if he lost his son, (LOST his son I mean), but man, what a jerk.
Jerk in his flashbacks, jerk on the raft, jerk in the Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions. I'm going to go post in the "I hate LINK thread some more".
the show wasn't as good as last week, but I was prepared. Nothing could be as good as last week,
and that's how it was last season,
big shocks, then lots of filler.
I'm in for the long haul, so I was happy enough.
Mike's story line is just boring to me, he is just a pissed off fellow all the time, I can't get into it.
The others looked spooky as all get out, freaky looking.
I did like how they backtracked and showed Kates and Lockes backstory, that led up to Jack vs. Desmond.
I'v learned with this show, if you come in wanting answers, you are gonna be let down,
I just watch it, and take what it gives me, and it's satisfying. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Lawless | | I'm with you, Dave... it wasn't a good as last week but, I liked finding out how it led up to Desmond vs Jack. And I was pissed that we were left there.
The clock/countdown thing was rather confusing. He seemed SCARED to get that done. Like something bad will happen if that code isn't executed before the countdown ends. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm... but WHAT could happen? | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Pippin | | 180 is the sum of 4 8 15 16 23 42.
That wasn't a PC, it was a terminal. One that hooks straight into the main system of something.
That girl in the pit in the previews was Ana Lucia. I thought when they showed those people at the end that they were the other survivors, not the Others, but if they had Ana Lucia in there then they wouldn't be, because she would be with the other survivots, wouldn't she?
I liked Desmond a lot more this episode. He is now much less creepy. Plus he's got a Scottish accent There's nothing better than a Scottish accent. Even Irish only ties. That's so nice of abc. Give us someone who is supposed to scared the living tar out of us and then do something like give him a Scottish accent, so that even when we are hiding from the tv we are still happy.
Thank you, abc!!
The question that Desmond asked Locke to prove whether or not he was him was, "What did one snowman say to the other?" | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: EleanorRigby | | I KNOW THE ANSWER!!
What did one snowman say to the other?
Can you smell carrots?
and my elementary school teacher told me that reading the laffy taffy didn't count as reading in class because what i read was useless. PFF.
maybe the people on the other side of the island got infected. it IS kinda cool to think that there could be a whole other self sustaining group like the one we see every wednesday. and i'm totally glad that Jin is not dead, although he may be infected also after being with the others.
let me put in my two cents about the "disease." it seems that our happy little group seems to be not so happy, but they do have hope. maybe the "infection" is the loss of hope that they will survive. if they don't think that they will ever get off of the island, of course they're gonna go insane.
if they kill off sawyer or jin, i will gather up an army of safety pins and sporks and <edited by neutra-threat version 3.5>

| Posted by: illuminate | | WAIT a minute... how could that be the answer? That better lead into some great revelation in the story. Carrots?
I did notice that Mike gave Walt a polar bear... why do they keep bringing that up? Do Polar Bears eat carrots? OHMIGOSH... haha.
I thought watching more episodes of Lost would answer some questions, but now i'm just more confused than EVER.
So, whats with everyone and the SCARY dancing Banana? THAT'S FREAKY!!! | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: illuminate | | OH, and did Sawyer (AKA the future father of my children) and Michael land on THEIR island? Is it the same one? And no survivors are to be seen, only the others? Or are they on ANOTHER island? I don't get it. The other SIDE of the island? Sawyer said it brought them "back home." But how is that the same one?
I'm gonna go buy that book they talk about in the other thread that has some ANSWERS!!!! | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Music_Chick152 | | i'm pretty sure that the tide brought them back to the island, only on another side of it.
so dessy said "What did one snowman say to the other?"??? cuz i replayed that prolly 500 times and couldnt understand him.
i can never tell when to feel sorry for michael or want to punch him, he's so confusing like that.
ugh muffins!!!! they left off were they did last time!!!!*pulls hair out and screams* | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: becker | | I don't see any reason to faithfully watch this travesty of a series that never gives you an answer for anything.
It just brings on more questions each show.
Luckily I have two VCRs and just tape the darn thing while watching a good show.
Last night I needed another VCR.
This season has kept me more interested in the new shows than ever before in my memory.
I love "Supernatural" and for the very first time ,Ben Bratt , in "E" something about our special forces in action. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: illuminate | | Okay, so I heard that on Entertainment Tonight they played that clip of Walt "appearing" to that snobby chick... in slow motion. And APPARENTLY he says "it's okay to the push the button, nothing will happen" WHAT!?
The Execute Button? What does that do... apparently NOTHING? | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: Whidden | | I just watched some of it again,
and I didn't notice it last night, but Desmond asked Locke something,
and Locke said they were on a flight from Sydney to L.A.,
and Desmond says,
"They are still there?!?!?!"
and then Locke says, "far as I know, yeah".
Last night, I was tired, so I thought they were talking about the plane crash survivors, but now I see he was talking about the cities.
Desmond thought the cities were gone.
Why?
I'm guessing, the plague, or disease. He thinks the world has been wiped out.
But I don't know, I'm coming to see all my guesses are wrong, they do it on purpose, try to send you in one direction, then twist the punchline and fool you.
Man, them OTHERS looked like a bunch of Zombies. | | Reply To this Message
|
| Posted by: Lawless | | When he made that comment, I was under the impression that he thought that there was something that happened to the world, and that he doesn't want to go out there, until the "disease" that wiped the world out, was gone. | | Reply To this Message
|
| Posted by: Music_Chick152 | | yea, i heard him say that too. he must think he (and whoever else is down there) are the only ones alive. maybe dessys insane just like the french lady | | Reply To this Message
