I just got this game yesterday and I haven't played it all that much, but I did get through the first campaign mission, as well as play online for a bit with my brother-in-law.

It's awesome, you play the leader of a group of... well, soldiers. You've got a rifle or a sniper-rifle, a hand gun, a missile launcher and granades or other explosives (you choose your weapons before you begin). It's pretty intense. Basically if you get shot in the head, you're dead. If you get shot in the leg, you may heal, but if you get like 2 or 3 shots in the right place, you'll keel over. They don't exagerate like previous games do, with the whole "shoot me 100 times then I'll die" thing.

The missions are pretty easy. Long, but easy if you take your time. If you go running into them, you'll probably die quickly.

Game play is awesome, and its easy to get the hang of. I'm usually not into these first-person army styled games, but this one is just awesome.

I just started playing this. I like it but I liked Full Spectrum Warrior much better. More comments in a bit…

Well, they look good to me—not as good as xbox360, of course—but I've only played a handful of these games; like Full Spectrum Warrior, Brothers in Arms and this one. The graphics between these three is more or less about the same. I don't have enough experience on video games to make a qualified judgement on the graphics.

I found this online: http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2005/195/reviews/928568_20050715_screen002.jpg

Graphics look cool.

I play games here and there on the PS2. Not a huge gamer. This looks like a good one though. I don't play a lot of those types of games. I played the Star Wars Batlefront, that was alright. Harkens back to watching the movies as a kid. Grand Theft Auto is comedy, too.

Looks pretty decent.... thanks, Heck.

And thanks, Hawk, for your opinion too!!!

I've not seen any of the Xbox360 games, and would like to.

Shoot.

Now do I have to buy an X-Box?

I am tired of upgrading building a new pc every year in order to play the best games. My coworker told me that I will have to upgrade my XBOX every 4-5 years...but that beats the yearly deal. I have a warehouse of parts here.

Plus I am tired of using a keyboard, just to see me *jump* *shoot* *crouch*
You got the picture.

Is this game a derivative of the Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six series??? In other words, is the team lead Sam Fischer? I prefer the solo stealth games to team player games. Not much of a team player in this type of activity.

I love Splinter Cell...but it's on my PC.

And I would buy an XBox way before a PSx....
I like the genre of games XBOX puts out....in fact these types of games.

I will post in the PC forum the BEST GAME EVER MADE!!!

I'm ALWAYS a good girl, my friend. And, I even came home early from work, and crawled into bed and took a three hour nap, to help my cold along the way. I worked hard, when I was at work. And, I even called my mom and told her that I love her.

This game was pretty funky, but I got over it.

Lately I've been on Battlefield 2: Modern Combat much much more.

It's much cooler. The campaigns are more fun, and you are able to switch from one soldier to another quickly and easily. So, if you need a sniper, you can jump into one, and take a few guys out... clear a path for your team or what-not.

I was playing Recon 2 SS 'til late last night. I was on a particularly impossible-seeming portion of the 4th mission (being assaulted by a multitude of enemy soldiers in almost simultaneous waves from all angles inside the industrial complex) and I tried to save my progress when my play became damaged and all my progress was lost. I got a big red X in the middle of the screen and I was promted to restart my Xbox. I now have to start from the very beginning. I'm weighing whether to just chuck this whole game.

That sucks man. That's happened to me more than once. I even save compulsively, on the CPU and games, still never enough.

Yeah, with Ghost Recon you pretty much have to save compulsively. I can get through the first mission without saving (usually), but every other mission... no matter what, I'll undoubtedly blow myself up somehow.

Do you ever play online DH? Its pretty awesome making up teams of people all 'round the world and trying to get the best of one another in a war. Though some people online take it WAAAAAAAAAAAY too seriously.

I don't play online. I don't have the hardware to connect my internet to my TV. Plus, I don't spend enough time playing to be able to compete with these aces who rack up thousands of hours of playing time online.
