What are your favorite comic-book ALIENS from another planet? They can be either hero or villain or even a minor character.

Well, for starters, for me, I would pick STONE BOY from the LEGION OF SUPERHEROES. Why? Well, because his superpower is the result of the planet he comes from....his planet's ENVIRONMENT. Let me explain. His planet, Zwen, rotates very slowly on its axis, an EXTREMELY SLOW ROTATIONAL RATE, so slow that a single NIGHT lasts for Six Months. As a result, the Zwenians SLEEP during that whole period. And to PROTECT themselves during that vulnerable period, they have evolved the ability to turn themselves into Stone. That's why I find him interesting...because his superpower is a direct result of his alien planet's environment.

Another DC-comics Alien that captivates me is the FaceLess Alien from Saturn. This alien has literally NO facial features at all, that is, NO eyes, NO nose, NO mouth. Again here, his origin is fascinating. That is, the Saturnians had developed mental telepathy to such a high degree that they outgrew the need for eyesight and speech. Therefore, eventually, they did Not need eyes, nose, or mouth. The comics story showed a gradual change in which each panel showed a gradual progression in their evolution. At this point, you might be asking how can they eat if they have No mouths? The answer is that they nourish themselves by photosynthesis.

What's interesting is that the FaceLess Alien is also a villain. That's why I said that this thread should also include villains.

But I really feel that this thread for favorite Aliens should NOT include Superman. Why? Well, because otherwise Superman would be picked by 99% of you folks, and that would make for a very BORING thread! So please, NO Superman or related Kryptonians. I hope you folks understand my point.

I'm gonna go with Superman.

NO!!!!!! Just messing!

I wouldn't do that to you. I guess the Silver Surfer, aka Norrin Radd, is my favorite Alien comic personage.

Galacticus rolled up on his planet and Norrin got him to let his planet survive,

as payment Galacticus made Norrin into the Silver Surfer, who is almost indestructable and has full use of "cosmic power".

For a moment there, you had me FLUSTERED with Superman. But I finally felt relieved when you voted for the SILVER SURFER. We could also pick GALACTUS because I had said we could include VILLAINS. But the interesting point to be made is whether GALACTUS is really evil? Many fans feel that GALACTUS is NOT evil because although he drains planets, it is done NOT out of greed but rather for BASIC SURVIVAL, SELF-PRESERVATION. So maybe instead of categorizing Galactus as immoral, he could be called Amoral. But on the other hand, billions of sentient inhabitants die as the result. So how would you categorize Galactus, Whidden?

I'm a right wing, judgemental, see's everything in black and white kind of guy, so I would say he is evil,

he has to kill sentient beings to live, so he should let himself die.

Plus, he is drawn with an evil face, and always looks pissed off, so yeah I would say he is a bad guy.

One of my favorites would be Thanos of Titan. The man is a beast in every way, not much more I could say about that. he could destroy about 98% of all the comic chareters out there right now.
