The tarot cards Poffesor Trewalney was reading |
| Posted by: fuscia | | A big thanks to Celtic Dragon for coming up with this thread idea.
Thread is open to discuss Trewalney and her tarot cards.
Once instance she has them and pulls a card out and says "-the lightening -struck tower, Calamity. Disaster. Coming nearer all the time..." what do you think it meant?
I can't find the one where she mutters about a boy. Can someone else post it please? | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: flying panda | | I think that Trewalney is getting batter at predicting, she thinks its wrong, and keeps on doing it. Thats proberly whats caused her to drink her sherry.
Im not sure about the boy ... i cant remember anything about it | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | I think that she can predict, but NEVER when she is consciously doing it. She goes into trances, or is just mumbling to herself. Give her an audience, and she is all poop. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | Yes, it was her great grandmother, not sure if it was a great or a great great, but her name I think was Cassandra V~something. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: flying panda | | We know when she goes into a transe she cant remember after wards. Liek you said i dont think she can do it if she tries, but can when she doesnt ... like harry with his magic before he knew he could do it (strange how his acidental magic is more powerful than when he tries) | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | She is just too puffed up with her self. Dumbledore thought that she had little skill, but reading Tarot cards can be learned. Who knows, she does enough predictions, she is bound to get a few right. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: flying panda | | thats like only 3 we know of, the origional pridiction, that could have been ignored by either side, the one with harry (the the room), which came true, and the (c)tarot cards | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: daemon17 | | I agree with WWP I think that what she sees is correct, but her analysis of what she is seeing is all wrong. | | Reply To this Message

Two of spades:conflict
Seven of spades: an ill omen
Ten of spades: violence
Knave of spades: a dark young man, possibly troubled, one who dislikes the questioner.
Thanks for putting up the thread, fuscia! ^_^ | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | Dumbledore had grey hair. Harry usually dislikes the questioner. That could be referring to The new minister. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: CelticDragon | | I don't think she means 'dark' literally, more along the lines of a dark personality. That's why I'm betting on Snape or Draco. Dumbledore's not dark at all, and Harry, while a little bit angsty, I wouldn't consider dark.
Snape was questioned by Bellatrix, and I don't think he would like anyone who throws herself at someone else with no dignity. And Draco was questioned by Snape. He was under the impression that Snape wanted to steal his thunder, and that's enough for Draco to dislike someone, at least while it's going on. | | Reply To this Message
