I think my favorite character in the Harry Potter's series is Hermione.

She exhibits great intellect and has helped Harry out of many traps and obsticles in all five books and is also a great friend.

Another thing I like about Hermione is that she reminds me somewhat of myself at her age. I campaigned against animal cruelty as she campaigned for the equal treatment of House elves. She is very bookish and loves to peruse several out-of-date textbooks as I do. She is also somewhat of a feminist which is natural when two of her best friends are men.

Anyway, I love Hermione
Who is your favorite character?

My favourites are Ron and Hermione. Ron can be an idiot sometimes, but he's so funny! Not always on purpose though . And Hermione is kind and intelligent and wants the best for everyone, and is almost always right and doesn't boast about it, except when she really deserves to

Well I just love Harry. He is brave, funny, and loyal. Other than Harry, Dumbledore was my favorite. Of the ones that are left, most likely Lupin. He is kind, smart and is a honorable man.

There are a couple for me.

I like Moody because it makes me laugh when he's being paranoid.

I like Dumbledore because he is/was a strange enigma of a character that you can't help but like.

And I like the Sirius charater simply because he's the type of character that I would create.

Ummm... there are so many great characters. But I think Lupin is my favorite at the moment. Harry's the hero, obviously, Hermione's okay, and so is Ron, but there's something about the Marauders generation that I just love. Sirius was my previous No 1, of course...

Oh! And I love Draco Seriously - and I think many people love him. Without him and his smirk and cynical remarks the book would be a great deal less interesting.

Harry... because I relate to that kid, so very much, on certain things!!!

Draco... he just rocks. I love his 'attitude' and believe that we will see some change in him before the end of the 7th book.

My favorite characters are probably Ron, Draco, Dumbledore, and Snape. Eclectic, no?

I relate to Ron so much at times that I think JKR has the ability to do Leglimens and has beenreading my mind. Draco is just so cool and suave and true to himself, even though his opinion on most things is unpopular. Dumbledore becaus ehow can you not like Dumbledore? And Snape, well there is so much depth to that character that he's one of the best best villian/good guys ever created.

Hagrid is loyal but he is not the brightest bulb in the shop.

My favorite character is and always will be Dumbledore. He knows what must be done and is not afraid to do it. He is clever and powerful but never abuses it. He is also a humble man who knows he is clever but also readily admits to his mistakes. An uber-cool guy. I always wonder why he didn't marry. If he did, where is his family?

I feel the same way M. Hagrid is just close to my heart, but there is no topping Dumbledore.

I think he did not marry because he was off saving the world and having adventures. I will bet that he was a hit with the ladies too.

Yeah, old Marchbanks still remembered him from his NEWT exam.

And do not forget the old witches at the Wizengamot who were nuts about him.

Yup, Hagrid and Dumbledore, both are cool characters but I prefer Sirius.

He a brave guy and knows how to react well to situations, also he a prankster in school, like what i am in school...always getting detention...

Sirius, James and Lupin all had such a sense of adventure about them. They were so bold and free.

well they made the maurders map and james had an invisibility cloak (you think james inherited taht or brought it?)

I think that James inherited it. I think the family was uber wealthy, but they are so rare. There has to be a story there.

They must need someone like Moody to find the hourses for the hides ... to make the cloaks

I have four favorites. Ron, Sirius, Lupin, and Snape. Snape was so cool, I thought, until this last book. Hey, he was even cool up until when he killed Dumbly. So I'm keeping him on my list because for five books and a lot of book six he was just one cool fellow Even after he killed Dumbledore I still can't hate him proper, so I hope he redeems himself at least a little in the last book.

Ron and Lupin are just so great. Ron is my number one favorite, I think, but I just adore Lupin's character, also. Oh man, if JKR kills them or has them do something horrible, I'll never be able to forgive her

And Sirius. I am still angry with JKR for killing him. And whe Harry finally unwraps the mirror at the end of the book! That was just cruel

Even after killing Dumbledore, Snape's still my favorite. I tend to favor the dark angsty types. And Snape is such an awesome character concept. You can never be quite sure which side he's on. He's pragmatic, intense, and extremely intelligent, but at the same time has a not-so-healthy obession with hatred and revenge, and a passion for the Dark Arts. He's just so complex and has so many layers that I can't help but try and pscyhoanalyze the way his mind works.
My faves after him would have to be Lupin and Ron.
