Anyways, Harper Lee's "To Kill A Mockingbird" is a must, I think.
"The Devil's Teardrop" by Jeffrey Deaver is a good read, also
And "The Raven and Other Stories" by Edgar Allan Poe
That's all that comes to mind right now
Harry Potter's a given, like fuscia said. | | Reply To this Message

Anyway, I think that some type of Holy Scripture, depending on your religion, should be read. That said, lord of the rings by JRRT.
I'll also recommend Jurrasic Park, the movie was pretty good, but I really liked the book, it was a great read. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: twisted_wizard | | I couldn't stand "To Kill A Mocking Bird" I mean, I read it but I won't say that it's my favorite classic...
Anyway.
*Outlander & series (Diana Gabaldon)
not to be confused with the sci-fi one ALSO called The Outlander series
LOTR (J. R. R. Tolkien)
Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card)
for those of you that has read Gone With The Wind Scarlett: The Sequel to Margret Mitchell's Gone With the Wind is a sequel by another Author. (Alexander Riply)
Sir Apropos of Nothing (Peter David)
It doesn't take much to say that it's HILARIOUS. Read the reviews yourself and you see. It's also has a very... cynical twist. veery disturbing.... which in my book, makes it a good read. Peter David twists the fantasy cliche into something surprisingly laughable. It's a parody, a satire of the cliches of the fantasy books. l It has followups but I havn't read them yet. I didn't know about it! I kept on looking for it in the library but gave up. I knew there would AT LEAST be a sequel cause the end is an obvious cliff-hanger... Well, I'm going boook-hunting, guys | | Reply To this Message
