That those bases were built during the cold war and are staffed with a minumal amout of troops. There is no need for a base built for 4000 and have only 1000 troops there. Some are old and an in need of a complete over haul.
Add to this, we have a different Army than we used to have. We can get buy with a lot less feet on the ground because of better equipment. | | Reply To this Message

No bases lost in my state, in fact much of the operations will be moved here.
