I must say that the merpeople look very cool. So does the triwizard cup.

AWESOME trailer... I so can not wait for this movie to come out.

And Sherry... I love the end of the trailer, and we head Dumbledore saying your signature quote!!!

This movie is going to rock... I just know it!!!!

I loved the Quote too! I brought a tear to my eye. This Dumbledore looked and sounded much better in the trailer than he did in the last movie.

I agree... but still, it's not the same!!! I wish that Richard Harris was still alive.

Dumbledore sounded exactly the same to me.... but, well, I'm slowly getting used to him.

The whole thing looked like a much more mature movie, so I'm getting pretty excited

That's what I was thinking, Grant.... a lot more mature. They are growing up, and the story line is much more serious now.

I get all teary when I see COS. I just will always think of RH as Dumbledore. He really had a presence. You had no doubt that his Dumbledore could really kick some butt if he wanted to. He was the best.

I agree with you. This guy doesn't come across, IMO, as a wizard to be wreckened with.

Maybe he will break out in this movie. He did look and sound more authoritative in the trailer.

Well, I refuse to pass judgement until seeing THIS movie... but, if he's like the last one

He'll have to do some pretty outstanding magic or stay calm in a crisis to really come across as dumbledore to us. Once they show that side, he'll probably seem more like Dumbledore.

Right on, Grant... let's hope!!! I don't want the remaining movies to be ruined. Then again, lets hope that they make 'em all before the kids are old enough to be grandparents!!!

Reply To this Message

Well, the way kids are today, you know the average age of grandparents is around 30

Umm... anyways, I don't think Dumbledore's actor's enough to ruin the movies outright, but that is one aspect of the movie I hope does settle down eventually. No matter who else could have played Dumbledore after Richard Harris, we probably wouldn't've like him. Not until he kicks some serious wizarding butt!

That's actually true... stepping in to Richard Harris' shoes is not easy, if even do-able.

I still think Sir Michael Gambon did an excellent job as Dumbledore in the PoA. He fits my picture of Dumbledore much more than Richard Harris. Harris was awesome as an actor, but he was too frail to be Dumbledore I think.

I saw this trailer too today, and everything looks cool. However, they are pissing me off again by changing stuff. Harry Potter is fighting the dragon on ground? WTF? He is supposed to do some really cool flying!!! He never fights the dragon on the ground in the book!!!

Well, perhaps they show him running around a bit before he gets his broom. There's basically no way he could survive that part if he doesn't fly out of it

Harry should be on the broom. It really showed his skill, and it impressed Krum. He needs to be on that broom.

I'm sure they wont change that part. How else would he, you know, not be burnt alive or eaten alive or... crushed alive by the dragon?

I didnt expect the dragon to be like that, im not sure if we saw the two together but the dragon was ment to be much bigger, and the arena was ment to be bigger as well (in my mind). its at the beginning when hes by the door (i pictured it like a bull riding thing) and he called for his broom but oh well

This new film looks AWESOME! GoF is my favorite of the five published books, and it seems like the movie makers have stayed pretty faithful to the book. I'm looking forward to it.

Dang it. It won't let me copy it. Anyhoo, there is a report that they are using special effects to coverup the acne of Harry, Ron and Hermione. They are going frame by frame to clear it up.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: gaboman

Well, you can't blame them... kids get acne, but I would think make up'd be enough to cover it.

I wonder if the makeup for the film added to it. Too much cakey makeup can make you break out.

Where did you see that, Sherry?

It was on a google look up for Harry potter. It was on some site under todays news.
