It's Official! Britney Spears is Pregnant! |
| Posted by: schmiggens | | News Weekly confirms: It's official, Britney Spears is pregnant
Pop singer Britney Spears is overjoyed at news she is expecting her first child with husband Kevin Federline. Reveals a source, "Britney has told her closest friends and family, 'It's official, I’m pregnant.'"Ending the star’s anxious wait and months of speculation, the source adds, "Britney says that the baby is due in October so she’s a few months along, but she doesn’t want to announce it to her fans just yet."
Britney, 23, was spotted with Kevin, 26, leaving a doctor's office in Beverly Hills earlier this month, holding her chihuahua and a CD, believed to contain scans of their unborn child. "Britney emerged after two hours looking very happy and clutching what appeared to be a scan," according to one eyewitness. The star's figure has been at the centre of rumours for several weeks, with onlookers noting her growing belly and larger breasts. While some had speculated that the singer's junk food diet was the cause, sources close to Brit know that's not the reason this time.
"There's no mistaking that she's sporting a slightly rounded belly, which is not the result of eating too much junk food. It's an open secret in Hollywood that she's having a baby. "There's been much speculation about Britney putting on weight and what it means, but that's not important to her now," reveals an insider. "She's just so happy that she and Kevin are having a baby. That's all that matters to Britney." A notorious junk food fan, the star is even believed to be following a nutritionist-devised healthy eating plan and has given up smoking. In addition, Britney has been spotted trying on maternity outfits at Santa Monica store, Babystyle.

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Keeping in mind that so far, News Week is the only one to confirm the story. Britney's official site has no news on the subject. The quotes in News Week are all unnamed "sources".
But the pictures do seem to speak for themselves.
Congratulations to Britney. I think it's great for her and Kevin. Well ... great for her, we'll see if this is the glue they need to make their relationship stick. Or if it does the total opposite, as it seems to have done for him and the mother of his other two children.
I think britney will make a good mum, not a great mum, but she'll have a lot of support and people around her to make sure she doesn't make too big a mess of it.
Who wants to bet we'll see her naked on the front of a magazin when she's pregnant like Demi Moore did? | | Reply To this Message

I just hope she teaches the child to wear shoes in public bathrooms. | | Reply To this Message

New letter by Britney: False tabloids
Dear False Tabloids,
As you read this letter, I bet you are asking yourself: Who? Who, me? Am I a false tabloid? Well, I don't know. But after this posting, I hope you are asking yourself a lot of questions. Your employees are a reflection of your magazine. Do you, Us Weekly, In Touch, Star and other desperate magazines want employees who are honest, or those who are liars? It seems to me that you'd prefer the latter. I'm really concerned about the people you hire to work at your companies. I'd like them to ask themselves the question, "What am I lying to myself about?" Is it that you are 50 pounds overweight? Is it that your children aren't making wise decisions? Or is it maybe that your husband or boyfriend is cheating on you? Until you face what is going on in your life, I guess you'll remain a false tabloid.
Britney
P.S. People Magazine is great in my book!

LOS ANGELES, California (Reuters) -- Britney Spears announced on Tuesday that she is pregnant with her first child, ending months of speculation over whether the pop princess was launching a new career as a mother.
Spears, 23, who married dancer Kevin Federline last September in a surprise, private ceremony, made the announcement in a posting to fans on her official Web site.
"The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together. There were reports that I was in the hospital this weekend. Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Love Britney and Kevin," the brief posting said.
No further details were available. The child will be a first for Spears but a third for Federline, who has two young children by his former girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson.

| Posted by: schmiggens | | According to Britney's publicist, it's a girl
Pop princess Britney Spears IS pregnant and her spokeswoman says it's a girl!
Spears, who declared "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" in one of her many hits, finally conceded yesterday that she's going to be a mom.
The singer and hubby, Kevin Federline confirmed one of showbiz's worst-kept secrets in a brief posting to fans on Britney's official Web site.
"The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together," she wrote. "There were reports that I was in the hospital this weekend. Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Love Britney and Kevin."
Britney is believed to be in her fourth month, which would mean she could be singing nursery rhymes by fall.
The happy news came just two days after a frightened Britney, fearing she was having a miscarriage, rushed to a hospital with abnormal bleeding while vacationing in Florida.
But Britney's spokeswoman, Leslie Sloan, told The News "she's okay. Mother and daughter are doing fine."
It will be the first child for the 23-year-old Spears, who married dancer Federline, 27, in September. He has two children with ex-girlfriend actress Shar Jackson.
Britney had steadfastly denied she was pregnant, though her expanding waistline had tongues wagging for months. Recently, she had been spotted in baggy clothes and appeared to have quit smoking and hard partying.
Britney, a former Mouseketeer who once dated singer Justin Timberlake, wedded longtime friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas last year, a marriage that was annulled after 55 hours.
Although her marriage to Federline eight months later was a tad rocky at the start, the couple plans on sharing the whole experience with the world. Last week they signed with UPN to air a series that will document their courtship and marriage using their personal video footage. "I am now going to be expressing my personal life through art," she said. Federline added, "It is a documentation of love."
The six-part series, airing in late spring, will mostly consist of the newlyweds' home videos, including footage shot shortly after they first met in Los Angeles, when they were in Europe for Spears' curtailed Onyx Hotel tour and their wedding day.
Spears became a worldwide pop phenomenon when she shot to fame with her 1999 debut, "Baby One More Time." She has since sold more than 60 million albums.

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Docs fear for Britney's girl
BRITNEY Spears is expecting a baby girl - but she could lose the tot from a condition linked to smoking, doctors said last night.
The star was taken to hospital on Sunday suffering placental abruption. It can kill a foetus in just TWO HOURS.
Doctors at the private Destin hospital in Florida at first feared Britney was having a miscarriage.
They later played down the problem calling it a "common complaint". Britney was kept under observation for two days.
The condition hits five per cent of mums-to-be. Sophie Wessex suffered it while pregnant with baby Louise - and doctors performed an emergency Caesarian to save her.
But experts yesterday said Britney’s heavy smoking would have massively boosted the chances of the condition affecting her.
Hubby Kevin Federline’s ciggy habit could also have contributed as passive smoking boosts miscarriage risk by a third.
Britney, 23, married dancer Kevin, 27, in September claiming their plan was to "have lots of babies". She stopped partying and even stopped dying her hair blonde as mums-to-be are advised not to bleach their locks.
In November she was seen with a suspected baby bump but denied she was expecting. Her continued chain smoking also calmed baby rumours - few thought she would carry on puffing while pregnant. But since February she appears to have given up the habit.
Pregnancy rumours were fuelled just before Britney’s hospital dash when she and Kevin were spotted on a Florida beach with baby magazines.
Pals now hope Britney’s problems will force Kevin to curb his smoking and take care of her. Last month he stunned onlookers in Las Vegas when he went on a bender with pals as a tired and depressed looking Britney stayed at home.

It appears that Britney Spears and hubby Kevin Ferderline are expecting a baby girl.
Spears announced on her website yesterday that she was expecting but did not reveal the sex of her first child. According to Contact music a spokeswoman for Spears, Leslie Sloan, inadvertently announced that the couple were expecting a girl by saying: "She's ok. Mother and daughter are doing fine."
However, Sloan has hit back at the New York Daily News who quoted her as saying "Mother and daughter are doing fine." She told the Daily News biggest rival, The New York Post: "The News made that quote up, I never said that. I don't know the sex of Britney's baby. I am shocked they would blatantly print a lie and attribute the lie to me."
The plot thickens...

| Posted by: schmiggens | | Britney's baby buzz
Britney Spears conceived with scruffy husband Kevin Federline. Searchers weren't shocked, because rumors of the Cajun chanteuse's pregnancy were swirling for weeks. The "is she or isn't she" guessing game ended when Britney came down from the balcony and proclaimed her pregnancy on her official web site.
Searches on the perennially popular pop star scaled new heights, up an astonishing 195% yesterday and into our coveted top search perch. While her recently announced reality show barely roused her buzz, the mere confirmation of a Spears-Federline offspring made Britney's buzz sizzle. Maybe she should try this whole pregnancy thing more often. Related searches on "Britney Spears Pregnancy" (+564%) and "Britney Spears Pregnant" (+1,003%) rocketed up our search movers chart.
Queries on baseball-cap aficionado Kevin Federline soared, up 1,865% in the wake of the happy news. K-Fed's original baby mama, Shar Jackson, also surged in searches, up 1,092%.
Now all buzz attention focuses directly on Britney's soon-to-be-bulging tummy. Tabloids will surely watch her every move to see if she's holding a cigarette or doubling up on her Cheetos intake. While we're not in a position to offer advice to pregnant women, we can suggest some top baby name queries for the expecting starlet:
-Popular Baby Names: Britney, please spare us another Kayla.
-Unique Baby Names: can she one-up Gwyneth Paltrow?
-Indian Baby Names: Aishwarya would be an awesome Bollywood-Hollywood crossover.

Britney Spears is set to return to work just three months after the birth of her baby, friends have claimed.
The pop babe - who announced she was expecting her first child with second husband Kevin Federline earlier this week - is keen to juggle motherhood with a successful acting and singing career.
A source said: "She sees Madonna as her inspiration. She's determined to be a good mother, but at the same time she can't give up her career because she has so many ambitions left.
"She's still writing songs and is looking for acting roles because she still feels she has got a lot to prove."
Yesterday (14.04.05), it was revealed Britney is expecting a baby girl.
The sexy singer is currently recovering from a miscarriage scare with a break in Florida.
When asked how Britney was, her publicist, Leslie Sloan, let slip the baby's sex, saying: "She's OK. Mother and daughter are doing fine."
Britney was rushed to a private clinic at the weekend after experiencing severe abdominal pains and sources claim she was in danger of losing her unborn tot.
The sexy singer reportedly suffered from placental abruption, which can kill a foetus in two hours.
Her condition was later played down as a "common complaint" but Britney was kept under observation for two days.

First comes love... Then comes marriage... Then comes BRITNEY's baby shower! Now that Ms. Spears and happy hubby KEVIN FEDERLINE are about four months pregnant, the baby planning is well underway. Britney's already been spotted shopping in baby stores everywhere from Florida to California, and as she decides whether to paint the baby's room pink or blue, the baby shower comes next!
MARK HELD of Mark's Garden in Los Angeles (marksflowers.com) was the man responsible for the floral décor of Britney's wedding, and has created incredible floral centerpieces for the baby showers of some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including DENISE RICHARDS, BROOKE SHIELDS, GEENA DAVIS and LEAH REMINI. So, will he be doing Britney's shower?
"I hope so," he tells ET. "We're totally excited and thrilled with the news."
For Britney's surprise wedding last September, Mark says, "She had this incredible idea of hot pink and red, and it was extremely romantic, very intimate and very different. She has a different approach."
As for baby shower ideas, clearly it's Britney's "prerogative," but Mark suggests a couple of his favorites. One is a topiary stork made of ivy, which contains a basket full of vibrant flowers in its mouth. Or better yet, he has tall, "Mad Hatter" pile of tea cups and saucers garnished with beautiful, colorful flowers.
"It's youthful, it's vibrant and it's kind of like her -- it's crazy but great," he says with a smile. Watch ET for more on Britney and her baby shower secrets!

However, Sloane denies the stories, telling PEOPLE, "It's untrue. The Daily News reported something I never said. They made a mistake. I honestly don't know what she's having."

BRITNEY SPEARS' aides have downplayed reports the pregnant singer's been put under 24-hour medical watch.

Britney and Justin's secret meeting
Just weeks after Britney Spears learned she was pregnant, Star has learned that the married mother-to-be held a secret meeting with her ex, Justin Timberlake, say sources. The former lovers -- who many think have never really gotten over each other -- met in a private L.A. hotel room (the location of which has not been disclosed) in March to pour their hearts out and share stories of their troubled relationships, says a source. Though three years have passed since the two were an item, their friendship is so deep that they still turn to each other for comfort. The source says Brit, 23, called the meeting to discuss, among other things, her fears that Kevin, 27, was putting her under a lot of stress. "She's probably worried about what kind of father Kevin's going to be," a source says, referring to his past with his ex Shar Jackson, 28, and their kids, Kaleb, 9 months, and Kori, 2. And Justin, 24, has his own relationship woes. He told Brit things aren't perfect with his girlfriend of almost two years, Cameron Diaz, 32.
Justin told her that his mom [Lynn Harless] doesn't like Cameron, says the source, adding, "Justin's friends think she parties too much." Besides sharing details of their relationship troubles, Britney also broke her baby news to Timberlake. "Justin was totally blown away," says the source. "He'd heard the rumors, but once he knew the truth, he was shocked." The source says Justin still has strong feelings for Brit. "It may be why he's saying these things about Cameron to Britney. Justin's mom still really likes Britney. I wouldn't be surprised if at some point they got back together!"

The wonderful folks at GoldenPalace.com have purchased the urine caked pregnancy test that Britney Spears used. The marketers of the First Response pregnancy kit are sure to be thrilled that she used their product.
GoldenPalace.com are the proud parent of The Brit Kit — the First Response home pregnancy test that announced to the world Britney Spears was carrying her husband's baby.
The test was lifted from the garbage outside a Los Angeles hotel where Spears, 23, was staying. It was sold for an undisclosed amount to Ottawa radio station Hot 89.9, where it stayed for two weeks before being auctioned off for charity.
GoldenPalace.com beat out 800 contenders with the winning bid of $5,001. The money will benefit the Ottawa chapter of the Easter Seals, as well as Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Trust.
While I do think that it's great that the proceeds of this went to charity, it's a pretty disgusting way to have raised those funds. Although I'm sure there are those who would love to own a stick of Britney Spears dried urine.

Pregnant Britney Spears had another hospital dash drama after complaining of stomach pains.
The 23-year-old pop star was looking after husband Kevin Federline's little daughter when she had to be rushed to hospital for emergency tests.
She had to interrupt her husband's recording session in Hollywood to raise the alarm, before Kevin drove her to nearby UCLA hospital in Santa Monica.
The Sun reports a source as saying: "Britney had been taking it easy on doctors' advice. She was playing with Kori on the grass outside the studios. She started to look unwell and was holding her stomach. She called Kevin out of the studio to tell him she was getting worse."
However, after 90 minutes of extensive tests, doctors gave her the all-clear but ordered the star to do as little as possible.
All this comes just weeks after it was feared Britney was having a miscarriage - it later emerged that she had suffered premature separation of the placenta from the uterus.

Calls upcoming reality series ‘my own therapy’
Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline will star in their own new reality show, "Chaotic."
“Eating for two is so much fun; I get to eat lots and lots!” the 23-year-old singer says in a posting on her Web site.
Spears, who announced her pregnancy last month, said she and husband Kevin Federline “ate at some amazing restaurants in Scottsdale” during a “peaceful and relaxing” two-week vacation in Arizona.
She also plugs the couple’s new reality series, “Britney and Kevin: Chaotic.”
Featuring what UPN bills as “exclusive, never-before-seen private home videos they shot themselves during their courtship, engagement and wedding,” the six-episode series will premiere May 17 (9 p.m. ET).
“Doing a documentary series seemed like the last thing I would do,” Spears writes. “... And putting ourselves out there seemed crazy, but that is exactly when I realized I should do it. The craziest things I’ve ever done have always been for the best.”
The pop star said she didn’t do the series for her career. “So much happened last year much too fast and I really wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to reflect on all of it. It’s like my own therapy. I hope you guys enjoy our little project! We are having so much fun putting it all together.”

Jamie-Lynn, 14, moved to Los Angeles with her mother Lynne, to be close to the star when the baby arrives. "I get to spend a lot of time with Britney. We are getting ready for the new baby's arrival in September. I can't wait. I have been shopping so much for the baby and it is not even here yet."
Meanwhile, Britney's relation with her mother doesn't look so good. On the set of of Zoey 101, the TV show staring Britney Spears's younger sister Jamie Lynn, the two Spears women started to fight about what appears to be an older conflict in the family, about Britney's father.
An insider confessed: "Britney was screaming at her mom. She was furious, swearing and cursing. Her mom burst into tears at one point but Britney didn't seem to care or notice."
Britney began yelling at her, saying that her father [Jamie, 52] was sometimes not there for her and that Kevin will be the best father for her baby," the witness said.
"Britney's mom got really upset and began to cry. She told Britney Spears that her father does love her and that he did the best he could for the children.
But Britney just wouldn't listen. She got into her car and sped off, screaming 'F**k you, momma! 'Everyone was really shocked and stunned." | | Reply To this Message

Los Angeles - Mom-to-be Britney Spears says she'll raise her unborn child to follow the mystical Kabbalah faith.
The pop star, who's baby is due in September, has planned a Kabbalah blessing for her baby nine days after the expected due date, The Sun reported.
Britney, hubby Keven Federline and some of her closest family and friends will reportedly celebrate the blessing at the group's LA headquarters.
Earlier this year, Britney thanked Madonna for introducing her to Kabbalah.
The star said on her official website that the religious faith helped her get through a difficult time in her life.
She said: "Madonna first introduced Kabbalah to me at a time in my life when it was much needed. It has helped me get rid of a lot of negative influences that were guiding me down the wrong path. "There came a point where not even my family or my advisors had the answers I needed. The answers I was looking for were all in my heart."
Other celebrity followers include Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.
