| AVRIL'S BETTER OFF ALONE
GRUNGE queen Avril Lavigne is boasting she doesn't need a pack of hangers-on telling her what to do and what to wear. The Canadian singer, whose album Under My Skin has topped the charts, likes to remain above the showbiz fray.
'I don't need a posse,' Avril said. 'I'm very independent and very low-maintenance. I don't like people touching my hair. I don't like people doing my make-up. And don't like people telling me what to wear and how to wear it.'
The so-called 'Anti-Britney' said she prefers to have very few people around and likes to make her own decisions. She said: 'I just find the less people around, the better things are. I don't need people around me telling me what to do. I'm like: 'Just go!'.'
