Paris Hilton reprimanded by pensioner after near Accident
Paris Hilton was publicly reprimanded by a furious pensioner after narrowly causing an accident. The blonde heiress was shopping in Hollywood when, according to a witness, she blindly crossed a road while talking on her mobile phone.
The socialite came face-to-face with the horrified senior citizen as a furious driver - who had managed to avoid hitting her - sounded his car horn.
An onlooker revealed: "Paris was so busy talking on the phone and juggling her little dog that she didn't see the car coming. She made it to the pavement after being blasted by the driver's horn, only to get a telling off from an old lady. She told her to put the 'damn phone' away and said if she were her daughter she would have given her a good hiding."
Meanwhile, sexy Paris has been blamed for driving ex-boyfriend Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter to drink - after he was charged with driving under the influence. According to Carter's friends, the handsome musician - who split from the reality TV star last year - had not recovered from the break-up and hit the bottle to numb his pain.
One friend said: "He still hasn't got over her. He begged her to get back together but she wanted to continue playing the field."

I can picture it now, the old woman, waving her walking stick at her.
It brings the whole thing of phones distracting people, im sure this type of thing happens every where - where people accually get hit
ive been brought up to look both ways before you cross, even when im on the phone i do - i supose shes been given everything on a plate all her life, an been driven in limos ...
I generally do look both ways too. Just sometimes you forget, well "normal" peple like us do. I think you might be right about Paris though, she's so used to having everything done for her that she can't even cross the road without help.
