| RAPPERS OFFERED INCENTIVE TO NAME CHECK BIG MAC
Fast-food chain McDonald's hopes to persuade rap stars to name check its Big Mac burger in songs -- by offering to pay them money each time the relevant tracks air on the radio.
The eatery is fighting to restore its reputation following last year's award-winning documentary "Super Size Me," which saw filmmaker Morgan Spurlock suffer a string of health problems after living solely off McDonald's food for a month.
And, according to Advertising Age magazine, the restaurant is prepared to pay rappers between $1 and $5 each time a track with a Big Mac plug is aired.
While McDonald's bosses have to approve which songs can mention the famous burger, they hope to have a number of related hip-hop tracks out by this summer.
