Jessica Simpson Kept Telling Herself: Im Beautiful

Jessica Simpson used to leave notes on her mirror telling her how beautiful she was.

The sexy singer, who stars in MTV's 'Newlyweds' with husband Nick Lachey, says she was never comfortable with her looks and had to take drastic measures to improve her self-esteem.

But Jessica, 24, says when she met Nick she didn't need the notes any more because he made her feel beautiful.

She said: "I didn't start feeling comfortable in my own skin until I was 20. That's when you begin to accept your flaws because you can't change them. Before that I had notes taped on my mirror saying, 'you're beautiful in this skin'. I told myself that every day and eventually I got married and fell madly in love with my husband who loves every inch of me. I realised I didn't have to compete with anybody and people liked me for me. Mess-ups and all."

Despite her new found self-confidence, Jessica admits she still cringes when she watches herself on 'Newlyweds'.

She said in an interview with Britain's Cosmo Girl magazine: "One thing that drives me crazy about myself is that I lose everything. I'm a disaster. And I watch the show and cringe - could I say, 'I'm so tired' any more?!"

Maybe I should stick post- its to my mirror. I still wish I could peel my skin off sometimes and put soemone else's on for a while. Looking like Jess for a while would certainly be nice.

Eh, she she'll be 'beautiful' with a pound of makeup for about 20 years until she starts aging and/or distorting her body with plastic surgery until she looks like a piece of leather.

Looks are looks. Beauty is on the inside. Pretty and skank are on the outside.
