Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher: Pregnant!

When friends of Ashton Kutcher gathered recently for a night out at the new Hollywood hot spot he owns, the Geisha restaurant, they were astounded when the 27-year-old star dropped a bombshell: Demi Moore, 42, his beautiful girlfriend of almost two years, is pregnant! "Halfway through the meal, he told us there was a baby on the way," says a stunned source. In fact, Star has learned that Demi is eight-weeks pregnant, with a due date some time in October.

Demi received the happy news March 4, at an appointment at the Beverly Hills clinic, Woman's Care. She sat there "completely stunned," according to a friend. "She broke into this huge grin and you could tell she was absolutely thrilled." At first, she was afraid to tell anyone - even Ashton! But after calming down, "she absolutely couldn't wait," the friend says. "And when she got him on the phone, she blurted, 'Honey, I'm pregnant!'" Demi, says the friend, said the baby is exactly what she and Ashton had wanted. And there are already tell-tale signs that Demi is expecting. At the premiere for Ashton's new movie 'Guess Who,' the heavy-smoking actress didn't even take a puff, and sipped water instead of her usual caffeinated energy drink, Red Bull.

Even though the news is traveling fast in their social circle, Demi's keeping mum - at least in public - about being a mom again. That's not so surprising, as she suffered a painful miscarriage in 1997 in the final days of her marriage to Bruce Willis. And even Ashton, when asked publicly about his impending fatherhood at the Hollywood premiere of 'Guess Who,' denied the pregnancy. Was this at Demi's request? "Demi won't officially announce it until the third month of her pregnancy," says a source. "She's superstitious because she lost a baby before."

KUTCHER TO BE QUIZZED ABOUT BABY RUMORS

Ashton Kutcher has been put on the spot by pal Carmen Electra, thanks to a little baby talk.
The actor, who is dating Demi Moore, has been dogged by tabloid reports that he's about to become a dad, and his pal wants to know the truth.

But rather than asking him privately, Electra wants to get the truth from Kutcher on live TV.

Appearing on Monday's "Total Request Live" on MTV, Electra insisted Kutcher answers her question when he appears on the show. Electra asked, "Rumor has it that you might be having a baby. If that rumor is true, do you want a girl or a boy and what will you name it?"

Asked to reveal what she knew about the rumor, Electra said, "You know how it is in Hollywood; there's a lot of gossip and I do read the tabloids. You can't always believe everything you read."

Meanwhile, Moore has fired back at published reports she's eight weeks pregnant. In a statement, her publicist says, "Although having another child is something Demi would like to do, unfortunately she can't at this time say she is pregnant."

Ashton Hits Out At Rumours

Ashton Kutcher is getting a little heated under the collar about the latest gossip surrounding him and girlfriend Demi Moore.

The 27-year-old actor and TV presenter has denied recent reports that Demi is pregnant... adding that they're not engaged either.

And he's not a happy man about all the murmurings.

"When are people going to stop believing the crap that people write?" he told USA Today. "Even if it were true, which it's not, why is that news? You know why they write it? Because people are so sick of reading about what we're actually doing in the world, which is nothing! So people read this to make it feel like something is actually happening."

The couple have been dating for two years - defying all those who said the almost 16-year age gap would be a problem.

Hollywood heart-throb ASHTON KUTCHER has branded the public's interest in his romance with DEMI MOORE "stupid".

The JUST MARRIED star, 27, has been dating 42-year-old Moore since 2003, and he can't understand why so there's such a strong fixation on their relationship.

He says, "The whole world knows what's going on with me before I do. They've had us getting married eight times and still, I'm not. Nor am I in the process. When are people going to stop believing the crap that people write? Even if it were true, which it's not, why is it news?

"You know why they write it? Because people are so sick of reading about what we're actually doing in the world, which is nothing! So people read this to make it seem like something is actually happening.

"It's just people's ignorance to think that love has to come with a certain physicality or age or anything other than just honesty and truth. How many guys are out there that are forty-something dating twenty-something girls that nobody gives a damn about?"

Ashton Kutcher Stirs Up Baby Rumours

ASHTON FUELS BABY TALK

ASHTON KUTCHER has fuelled speculation he and girlfriend DEMI MOORE are trying for a baby by confessing he isn't looking forward to fielding fatherhood questions in the press.

In an interview with movie peer BRAD PITT in the current issue of INTERVIEW magazine, Kutcher admits he's tired of journalists asking him when he's going to marry Moore, and when Pitt suggests the baby questions will be next, the actor admits he's already preparing for the worst.

He tells Pitt, "I'm not looking forward to that one, either."

Reports in American tabloids suggest Moore is several weeks pregnant - rumours Kutcher has been keen to joke about in TV interviews, but has yet to confirm or deny.

NATIONAL ENQUIRER: Talk about a temper tantrum! Bruce Willis is seething because Demi never told him she was pregnant with Ashton's baby.

That's the latest crazy twist in Hollywood's kookiest family affair now that 42-year-old Demi Moore and boyfriend Ashton Kutcher are finally having the baby they've desperately wanted.

The miffed, macho "Die Hard" star had remained close to Demi -- the mother of his three daughters -- after they divorced in 2000. He even developed a friendship with her 27-year-old boyfriend Ashton, and gave his blessing to their upcoming marriage.

But the tangled triangle is rapidly unwinding, say sources.

"The well publicized love fest between Bruce, Ashton and Demi will come to a screeching halt now that Bruce found out Demi was pregnant -- and he didn't hear it from her," an insider told The ENQUIRER.

"It was bad enough when he first heard the pregnancy rumor and confronted Ashton only to get the response: 'Sorry, dude. I'm not allowed to say!'

"Then Bruce got Demi on the phone and asked her point-blank if she was pregnant. "She told him it was none of his business. " Bruce was flabbergasted!

"He's gone out of his way to befriend Ashton, and has said publicly how he, Demi, Ashton and the girls are all one big happy family. All Bruce could manage to sputter was, 'I can't believe you won't tell me. I'm the father of your children.' And then Demi clobbered him. She told Bruce, 'Yeah, you're the father of my children -- but not this one!'"

The 50-year-old star was rocked by her response, according to the insider. "It was the first time in two years there had been any friction between them since her romance with Ashton developed.

"Bruce said, 'Well, I guess I know where I stand.' "

Added another source: "I think Bruce is jealous of Demi and Ashton. The baby is going to be the focal point of Demi, Ashton and the kids, and he probably feels he'll be left out. Bruce can get any woman he wants, but he hasn't been able to make his relationships work out. And then he looks at Demi and Ashton, who seem to grow happier and more in love by the day, and it must hurt. Bruce can't help feeling sorry for himself -- a part of him will always love Demi. It also doesn't help that Demi seems to get better looking with age. And young hunky Ashton's career is on fire. He's a gorgeous guy with a gorgeous fiancee, who's carrying his child.

"Bruce may be beginning to feel like one of Hollywood's elder statesmen. He's hit his peak. But Ashton hasn't even begun. The girls already call Ashton 'MOD' which stands for 'My Other Dad'! They all laugh about it. They say they're all family. But now with a baby coming, things have definitely changed. Deep down, Bruce is a sensitive guy. He loves his kids very much and still cares a lot for Demi. But the thought of her being pregnant must be driving him crazy.

"Bruce thought he would be the only one to have that bond with Demi. And now that she's carrying Ashton's baby that bond has been broken."

With Pampers entering the picture, Bruce is feeling less than pampered, confided the source. "Bruce and Demi have always been able to talk about anything -- but this baby has put an end to that. For the first time Bruce feels he's lost Demi for good."

STAR MAGAZINE : On a warm spring evening, the sight of a couple taking time to cuddle and light up a couple cigarettes in front of a home in Calabasas, Calif., normally wouldn't draw attention. Except on one recent afternoon -- Easter Sunday, to be specific -- the couple in question was Ashton Kutcher, 27, and his love Demi Moore, who, at age 42, is reported to be about 10-weeks pregnant with Ashton's child!

According to an eyewitness, on March 27, Demi and Ashton stepped outside while attending a get-together and headed to their car for a nicotine fix. "Demi walked out of the party with a lighter and cigarette, and Ashton followed, carrying a beer," says the source. "Demi looked like she was sneaking her cigarette since she and Ashton made such an effort to hide by their car."

Friends of the couple say that Ashton has tried to convince Demi that smoking may not be good for her but his own inhaling habit hasn't made it any easier for Demi. In addition, studies show his secondhand smoke could be harmful to a baby as well (see sidebar, in current issue).

"Ashton is upset that Demi continues to smoke," says a source. "But Demi is having a difficult time quitting altogether especially since Ashton still smokes." So why would Demi -- a mom already of three girls with her ex-husband Bruce Willis -- be smoking if she's pregnant? One source close to Ashton says she thinks that Demi is deathly afraid of getting fat and that's why she is smoking up to a half-pack of cigarettes a day.

Demi Moore's Miscarriage

Though she never officially announced that she was pregnant, the National Enquirer is reporting that Demi Moore has suffered a miscarriage, and that is just very sad.

Demi, who is 42, is said to be heartbroken because she lost the baby during her second trimester, which is rare. She was rumored to be five months pregnant.

"Demi thought she miscarried because of her age, but a doctor said that was absolutely not the case," reports the Enquirer. "Demi developed a problem with her placenta during her fifth month of pregnancy, and she miscarried and lost the baby."

This is the second miscarriage for the star. Demi suffered a similar misfortune in 1997, when she was still married to Bruce Willis.

Amidst the nebulous clouds hovering over Dashton now, there is a glimmer of hope: the two are reportedly said to marry (for like the 100th time)!
