Christina Aguilera Plans Retro Album

Christina Aguilera tells The New York Daily News she's working on a "retro" album of songs blending "blues, jazz and soul." The recently engaged singer added, "I've been listening to Billie Holiday and Lena Horne." No word what her record label thinks of the plan.

Aguilera Asks Fans to Call Her

Christina Aguilera is offering fans a chance to appear on her next album -- and all they have to do is leave her a phone message telling her what her music means to them.

The singer, whose new recording is scheduled to make its debut in the spring, has designated a special number for fans to leave their messages, with the best few being used in a track on the album.

According to MTV News, Aguilera is urging fans to be creative, but also to be quick, keeping their messages under 60 seconds.

The deadline for entries is November 18.
