Will Smith got something for Eminem?

Just when you thought Will Smith would fade away and stick with acting, the mega star is coming back with his fourth album. Lost and Found will be his opportunity to set aside his “soft” image and show that he’s got a tough side.

The album will be released on March 29th and the lead single “Switch” is already getting burn on the radio. Most people know Smith to rhyme about all things pop and never delve too far into the realm of real lyricism. But with this album Smith will depart from the “Big Willie” image and opt for something a little more hardcore.

The song “Mr. Nice Guy” features the rapper/actor venting about how people mistake him for being soft. A spokesperson for Smith says that he has “sumthin’ for Eminem” in the song.

The album will also feature collaborations with longtime partner Jazzy Jeff, Mary J. Blige, Timbaland and Snoop Dogg. Smith plans to break from acting for the next 6-8 months to focus on music.

Considering his music never does as well as his movies, you'd think he'd give it up.

I guess he still makes money from it, and they haven't really HURT his image, so he'll linger as long as he can... I think it's bad... He doesn't have the pull he used to, and if he wasn't a successful actor, his music career would probably be over now. His past songs got more hype because of his actor status, and he hasn't been giving us anything new or that appealing.

He's no longer a music artist. He's now a regurgitator of standards. I think he should refocus on acting, because he's getting better and better at it. His music career is begging for euthanasia.

If Will Smith is putting Eminem on blast on that song, I'm buying his album and joining his fan club.

His last album wasn't great, but I always like him for his clean-cut image. If he's becoming a bad-boy of sorts for this album, I may give it a miss though. One thing we don't need more of is rappers swearing and insulting each other.

I actually like the first song: Switch. It's really catchy.

I think Will Smith is doing this for himself, and making the people around him money at the same time. He's an artist of the singer/songer writer and acter varieties. Morep ower to him. I'm a big fan.
