Michael Jackson Case Ex Wife Moves To Stop Kids Testifying

MICHAEL JACKSON's ex-wife is determined to prevent the pop superstar from calling up their two children as defence witnesses in his upcoming child molestation trial.

DEBBIE ROWE hopes to stop PRINCE MICHAEL, eight, and daughter PARIS, six, from testifying at the THRILLER singer's trial in Santa Barbara, California, reports British newspaper THE SUN.

The two kids had their names read out in court on Monday (14FEB05) - on a list of possible witnesses for Jackson's defence. However, Rowe is set to testify for the prosecution against Jackson.

Jury selection in the trial has been postponed until next Tuesday (22FEB05) as Jackson battles a bout of influenza.

He has pleaded not guilty to charges of molesting a 13-year-old former cancer patient.

I don't really see how having Paris and Prince testify would help. They do not lead normal lives, they don't have any real grasp of the real world and I don't think their testimony would help Michael's defense in any way. Once they spill the beans on all his wierd habits and the wierd stuff he makes them do, the jury would be pretty biased.

Also, I would assume that Michael wouldn't be stupid enough to (a) molest his own kids, or (b) molest other kids in front of his kids, but with Michael I guess you never know.

How old is Blanket now? Not old enough to testify?

They should jail him just for calling his kid "Blanket."

actually I believe his real name is PRINCE MICHAEL JACKSON II...I think I read this on the MJ website.

But don't hold me to it untill I find the truth.

Anyway, I think his two kids would definately hurt the defense, cause like you mentioned they could "spill the beans" on his weird behavior. Not nothing sexual, but just a real, candid look at MJ real life as a parent.
