I am a big Eurovision fan, even though I am in Australia and of course, we don't get a go. I loved it last year, I thought Ruslana was the best. Can't wait for Ukraine, my bosses fiance is from Ukraine and we're all excited about it. The Ukraine are trying to find a good singer this year to see if they can win it two years in a row, which would be quite an achievement.

The UK is having auditions at the moment to find it's representative, Katie Price (aka Jordan) is auditioinng, as is one of the girls from Girls Aloud I think and Gina G, who had one or two hit songs in the early 90's.

Jordan Favourite For UK Eurovision

Page three pin-up Jordan is hot favourite to represent the UK in this year's Eurovision song contest, bookies say.The glamour girl turned singer plans to showcase her act on Top Of The Pops this Friday.

It is not known how raunchy Jordan's performance will be, or whether she will flaunt her famous breasts.

Jordan - real name Katie Price - is up against four other hopefuls to take part in the contest, including hunk Andy Scott-Lee, sassy Javine and former favourite Gina G.

Sky Bet has announced that Jordan's odds have been slashed from 7/2 to evens following a flurry of bets on the model.

Eurovision - UK Auditions

Despite being Australian, Gina G has already represented Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest, way back in 1996. But she was keen to do it again with the song 'Flashback.' She came last, obviously it was one flashback the British public didn't want.

Javine, wearing a revealing russet-coloured cut-away dress sang 'Touch My Fire.' Javine had previously narrowly missed out on a place in Girls Aloud.

Thinking outside the box when it comes to maternity wear, the visibly pregnant Katie Price aka Jordan failed to impress the public despite being pre-night favourite.

Javine laughs off eye-popping performance

Songstress Javine was reeling after her eye-popping performance put former glamour model Jordan in the shade, winning her a shot at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The 24-year-old singer, who was a contestant in Popstars: The Rivals, stunned viewers after her skimpy russet dress slipped during her energetic rendition of Touch My Fire, resulting in what has become known in the showbusiness industry as a "wardrobe malfunction".

Meanwhile, her rival Jordan, aka Katie Price, trailed in second place singing Not Just Anybody, having kept her famous assets firmly under wraps in a figure-hugging baby doll pink catsuit which showed off her pregnant bump.

Javine denied that the dress debacle had been staged and put the blunder down to the excitement of the moment. "It was during the second performance. I had just been told I'd won and I was jumping up and down and hugging everyone. The tape came away from my dress and it popped out," she said. "It's quite funny really. I'm not going to think about it now, it's one of those little things that happens during live TV."

Javine backs Jordan for single

Javine, who narrowly missed out on a place in Girl's Aloud, was also singing alongside operatic trio Tricolore, Pop Idol contestant Andy Scott-Lee, and Gina G for a place in the glitzy European affair.

She said the other contestants had performed "really well" and said she thought Jordan should release her song as a single. "I think it would do well if she released it here," she said. Javine said she had gone out partying with friends at the Penthouse Club in London's West End to celebrate her win. We went out and had a little drink and a little party. It was a good old laugh," she said.

She said she had been proud to see her mum in the audience as she sang her way to victory. "Just to see the look on my mum's face, it was great. She has been with me all the way on this journey, feeling everything with me," she said.

She will now go on to represent the UK in Ukraine on May 21 following BBC1's Making Your Mind Up. "I am excited about performing in Kiev but I'm not going to get a moment to think about it I am going to be working so hard."

Chart success

Since missing out on a place in Girls Aloud, Javine has already enjoyed chart success. Her debut single, Real Things, went straight into the charts at No 4. Her most recent hit, Don't Walk Away, generated widespread radio play.

She said making it to the Eurovision Song Contest made up for her earlier disappointment. "I have been given another chance and I need to grab it. I was prepared for disappointment but now I am so happy," she said.

On the Eurovision Song Contest, she said on her website: "Music can be what ever you want it to be and to see all these different countries coming together on one night and hearing all their different influences is a great experience. Ultimately one country will win which brings intensity to the whole show. For my performance I will be singing and dancing to the best of my ability, I will be taking the audience on a fantastic ride!"

Other celebrities who famously flashed more flesh than they meant to include US popstar Janet Jackson and television presenter Judy Finnigan.

Jordan Fed Up Of Javine's *****ing

In true 'good loser' spirit, Jordan has hit out at Britain's Eurovision winner Javine.

Having come second in the televised competition to represent the country, Jordan claimed that her pregnancy must have been the reason she didn't win.

"I think I lost because I'm pregnant... It's the only reason I can think of - that certain people didn't want me because I wouldn't look slinky and sexy like normal by the time of Eurovision in May," she revealed in a special column in The Sun. "I believe I was the victim of a smear campaign. It was all lies but maybe it could have cost me votes because people assumed I was going to win. There was a lot of *****ing from Javine about me being pregnant - she said I shouldn't have entered, as if being pregnant made me undesirable."

The glamour girl, who was favourite to win, went on to say she wouldn't be buying Javine's single and claimed that fellow loser, Gina G, looked like a clown. She did admit that she was "gutted" but added that she's got a record deal and will be releasing a single later this year.

I lliked Javine's song more that Jordans. I think they picked the right song. Her "wardrobe malfunction" wasn't that bad, and for her to win even after that is nice. I think people just don't like Jordan and that has a lot to do with why she didn't win. I doubt it was because she was pregnant, you can hardly notice it yet. She just likes to be able to shift the blame.

Can this Jordan chick actually sing? I mean, seriously, she looks like she's made of plastic, and, if I remember correctly, she only became famous because she got together with Peter Andre on some lame TV show. Would that be an accurate assessment?

She was semi-famous for having big boobs and being nude a lot (kind of a UK PAris Hilton, weithout all the money ) before she got on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and shacked up with Peter Andre.

I believe she can sing, although there's not really any way of telling how much her songs have been tweaked and all that. But it seems OK. I think she can sing better than Peter Andre, but whether that means anything remains to be seen

Terry Wanted Jordan To Win

Terry Wogan is undoubtedly the king of all things Eurovision, but it seems the TV presenter is a bit gutted about Britain's entry for this year's show.

It's not that Tezza thinks Javine isn't any good... it's just that he was hoping Jordan would be doing the deed. Instead, the fact that Jordan did the deed with her boyfriend Peter Andre is the reason Terry's a little deflated. "We thought Jordan might have been the very thing for an Eastern European audience but, foolishly, she got pregnant. If she'd sung for us, she'd have been eight months pregnant - I don't think they're ready for that," the Daily Mail reports him as saying.

His comments will please Jordan, who was adamant after the show that the only reason she didn't win was because she was up the duff, as she wrote in The Sun: "I think I lost because I'm pregnant... It's the only reason I can think of - that certain people didn't want me because I wouldn't look slinky and sexy like normal by the time of Eurovision in May. There was a lot of *****ing from Javine about me being pregnant - she said I shouldn't have entered, as if being pregnant made me undesirable."

This year's Eurovision Song Contest final takes place in Kiev on 21st May 2005.

I miss Terry's commentary, they have Des Mangan doing it in AUstralia for SBS and he's not as good. They had to repeat Eurovision the first time Des Mangan did it, so many people complained that they missed Terry.
