| A Paris stock-photo op
The editors of Playboy have long been trying to get Paris Hilton between their glossy sheets. And now that they have, she's furious.
Even though Playboy names her "Sex Star of the Year" in the March issue, the hotel heiress resents the mag using stock photos of her on the cover and inside (where fans of her "One Night in Paris" video will surely be let down by her diaphanous T-shirt).
"Paris didn't agree to anything," her rep tells us. But Playboy says it had the rights to use the picture fair and square and makes no promises on the cover that she has stripped.
Meanwhile, Oscar de la Renta is said to have seen enough of her. Word is the designer who dresses First Lady Laura Bush rebuffed Hilton's bid to attend his Bryant Park fashion show.
De la Renta's rep says she didn't know if Hilton wanted to come to the show but confirms, "She wasn't invited. She is not a customer of ours, nor is she a friend of the de la Rentas."

She not nude. She didn't even pose for the magazine. Why bother putting her on the cover?
She graces the cover of the March issue in a sexy red bustier with her fishnet-clad legs in the air. “Paris Hilton: Sex Star of the Year” blasts the cover line. Paris fans may be disappointed if they buy the issue hoping to see her private parts, however, because she does not appear nude inside. Nor did she pose for the cover.
“I’m afraid that people will see it and think Paris posed for Playboy, which she did not,” Hilton’s spokeswoman Gina Hoffman told The Scoop. “I don’t even know where they got that photo.” The picture looks somewhat fleshier than many of Hilton, but a spokeswoman for the mag assures The Scoop that the photo wasn’t altered.
Hoffman says that she didn’t even know that Hilton would be on the cover until a few days ago, when someone at the magazine alerted her. She says that Hilton also just recently learned of the cover, which hits newsstands later this week, but wouldn’t comment on her reaction. [MSNBC]
