Beyonce will be performing three of the Oscar-nominated songs at the February 27 awards ceremony

Beyonce is gearing up for a busy Academy Awards ceremony on February 27, as the chart-topping diva is to perform three of the Oscar-nominated songs on the night.

She is set to join crooner Josh Groban in a duet of Believe from The Polar Express and will accompany the American Boys Choir for Look To Your Path, a track from France's multi-nominated The Chorus.

The R&B singing sensation will also step in for Minnie Driver to sing Learn To Be Lonely, from the film version of The Phantom Of The Opera. Minnie sang the Andrew Lloyd Webber-penned track on The Phantom soundtrack, and there had been speculation she would perform the song at the Oscar ceremony, but she is unable to do so due to scheduling conflicts.

Also set to rock the Academy Awards are The Counting Crows with their hit song Accidentally In Love, from the movie Shrek 2. Still to be announced is the performer for the remaining best original song nomination - Al Otro Lado Del Rio from The Motorcycle Diaries.

Lloyd Webber Tailors Movie "Phantom" Song for Beyoncé's Voice

Pop singer Beyoncé, who will sing "Learn to Be Lonely," the one new song penned for the film of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera," at the 77th Academy Awards telecast, has asked the composer to alter the tune to suit her voice.

According to Irish On-Line, Beyoncé was concerned that the song was too low for her voice and is not long enough. Lloyd Webber has reportedly agreed to adjust it.

It will be a busy evening for the pop star; she will also join Josh Groban for a duet of "The Polar Express" tune "Believe" and will be backed by the American Boyschoir as she sings "Look to Your Path" from "Les Choristes." Another nominee in the Best Song Category — "Accidentally in Love" from "Shrek 2" — will be performed by Counting Crows.

Joel Schumacher's "The Phantom of the Opera," based on the Tony Award-winning Lloyd Webber musical of the same name, earned three nominations, including those for Art Direction, Cinematography and, of course, Best Song ("Learn to Be Lonely").

The nominees for Best Song follow:
"Accidentally in Love" - "Shrek 2"
"Al Otro Lado Del Río" - "The Motorcycle Diaries"
"Believe" - "The Polar Express"
"Learn To Be Lonely" - "The Phantom of the Opera"
"Look to Your Path (Vois Sur Ton Chemin)" - "The Chorus"

Comedian Chris Rock will host the annual Oscar ceremony, which will be broadcast Sunday, Feb. 27 at 8 PM ET on ABC-TV.

I can understand her wanting the tone changed, Beyonce and Minnie Driver have very different voices, form what I've heard of Minnie, but longer? Isn't that just being selfish and trying to grab as much attention as she can?

BEYONCE BATTLES BAD COLD

Destiny's Child star Beyonce Knowles battled a secret flu virus last week in a desperate bid to make sure she was in top shape at the Oscars Sunday night.

The singer, who performed three of the Best Song nominees at the Academy Awards, arrived for rehearsals feeling terrible and then locked herself away in Los Angeles' Capitol Records building to perfect her voice and fight her cold.

An Oscars insider says, "She was really professional but pretty sick. I think she passed on her ailments to a lot of staff. There were producers and the like with bad colds."

'The View' Not Impresed With Beyonce's French

Observing that Beyoncé Knowles' French singing at the Oscars was "fractured a little bit", Joy Behar of 'The View' joked, "The French will never come to help us with the Iraq war after that."

High Quality Images - Jay Z & Bayonce

I think it's a post-Oscar party.

What's with his hand on her tummy? Pregnant? He certainly lookjs in a rush to get her away from the cameras. She does have a bit of a belly in the first picture, but that could be a wierd angle.

DELPY: 'BEYONCE'S OSCAR SONG OFFENDED THE FRENCH'

Actress Julie Delpy has accused Beyonce Knowles of offending her fellow French citizens -- by "murdering" their language during her performance of "Vois Sur Ton Chemin" at last month's Oscars.

The "Before Sunrise" beauty was disgusted by Knowles' rendition of the Gallic song, from the movie "Les Choristes (The Chorus)," because it sounded like she was singing in Chinese.

Delpy complains, "Beyonce singing in French -- it sounds like she's crooning in strong Chinese. I swear to God, to French people it was like being stabbed in the heart."
