Details on Britney's UK promotional tour

TRL UK: Britney will be jetting into the UK on February 21st and will be spending 7 days there. She will kick off the promo for Curious at London's Grovsner House at the official launch party with Elizabeth Arden on Monday evening. She will then be appearing on TRL on Tuesday evening to promote Do Somethin' and will be interviewed about Mona Lisa and her upcoming projects. Britney will then be recording for Top of the Pops on Thursday and CD:UK on Saturday, but it's not confirmed whether she'll perform, although it seems likely.

I hope she does Do Something on CD:UK or TOTP. I've not seen her do that live yet.

Britney in the UK

Britney is to be a special guest host on Jo Whiley's BBC Radio 1 show next Thursday, 17th February 2005, beginning at 10am.

The advertising campaign for Curious will also be launched this week in the UK with the premiere of the advert for the product range showing on ITV1 this Thursday (10th February) during the BRIT awards. The ad has been given a "restricted" status, meaning it can only be shown after 7.30pm at night.

SPEARS FAILS TO TURN UP FOR RADIO INTERVIEW

BRITNEY SPEARS has angered bosses at a British radio station after pulling out of a scheduled appearance "without any real reason".

Superstar rival JENNIFER LOPEZ has stepped in at the last minute to co-host BBC RADIO 1's morning show with DJ JO WHILEY after the blonde superstar cancelled the interview, scheduled for tomorrow (17FEB05).

Radio 1 spokesperson NICHOLAS CALEY says, "She (Spears) cancelled without any real reason. "We don't have written contracts but it was agreed between the programme's producer and her record plugger. It was in place but she pulled out."

DAVID FROSSMAN from Spears' British record label BMG explains, "The diaries didn't work out. She is coming to Britain but later in the spring."

Britney not going to the UK

According to Radio 1, due to unforseen circumstances, Britney will not be going to the UK anytime soon. The plans to promote Curious and Do Somethin' and to co-host a show on Radio 1 were scrapped at the last minute.

Britney's people apologized and simply said that Britney has decided not to go to Europe this spring. She'll be flying to the UK for a few days only to meet the winners of the Curious Competition.
