Stopped payments: Debbie Rowe
The mother of two of Michael Jackson's children has agreed to be a star prosecution witness at his trial on child abuse charges. Former nurse Debbie Rowe was married to Jackson for three years until 1999 and gave birth to his two older children, Prince, seven, and six-year-old Paris.
She has always publicly supported the 46-year-old star despite playing no part in the children's upbringing.
But court sources said Miss Rowe, 37, had agreed to testify against him after he stopped her £600,000-a-year payments. She has also begun legal proceedings in Los Angeles to try to regain custody of the children she gave up at birth. Miss Rowe's decision to give evidence was revealed on the second day of jury selection in the Jackson trial, which is expected to last up to six months.

Denies the charges: Michael Jackson
Jackson once again turned and waved to cheering fans as he arrived at the courthouse in his black luxury 4x4. The all-white uniform of the first day was replaced by a sombre black blazer and black trousers with a white stripe down the legs.
His red shirt was covered by a white waistcoat and the breast pocket of the blazer had a military badge, believed to be that of the Royal Corps of Transport, a former British Army regiment, which he has worn before.
The prosecution has said it plans to highlight Jackson's eccentric lifestyle as a way of explaining his alleged abuse of 13-year-old Gavin Arvizo, a cancer patient who was a regular overnight guest at the star's Neverland mansion.
The singer faces more than 20 years in prison if he is convicted of four charges of child molestation, attempted molestation and child abduction and four counts of giving alcohol to a child for the purpose of committing a crime.
He insists he is innocent and claims he has been targeted for his money.
It was still not clear whether Jackson's first wife, Lisa Marie Presley, would be called as a witness by either side. Judge Rodney Melville has ordered lawyers not to comment. But Diane Diamond, from America's Court TV network, confirmed that Miss Rowe would be appearing for the prosecution. She is 'fairly angry' that Jackson had stopped her annual payout, said Miss Diamond.
She recently tried to sell a gemstone Jackson had given her during their marriage on eBay.

BTW did you see the special when the guy asks MJ's kids about their mother, and they said, "we have no mother"......dang that was heartbreaking that MJ would teach their kids that, and brianwash Debbie into going along with it for as long as she did. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: fuscia | | I saw that special. I was horrified that the kids thought they have no mom. I just can't believe any mom could walk away from her kids.
Debbie should be able to reveal a lot about his medical condition and his prescription drug use. | | Reply To this Message

I'm with Fuscia, I can't imagine any woman walking away from her own children either...regardless of how much annual salary I would get for it. Its hard to believe that someone could be so greedy to give up their own kid. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: hellokittykelli | | I like Mj take on the situation.......he said they were "presents" from her to him. That's a sick mindset on both parties behalf, to think that kids can be bought and sold. I understand the surrogate mother situation when a woman carries a baby for a husband and wife. But Mj is just skipping from woman to woman doing this. He has 2 by Debbie and one by another woman, (I'm not including that whacko woman that's claiming she had his twins), but what is he going to do? Keep going from woman to woman and teaching each one of his kids, that they are motherless?
He really has to think about their future, I mean they are gonna find out that their "dad" basically bought them, and their mothers "sold" them, that's a hard thing to live with. | | Reply To this Message

It's too bad he won't go on prozac or take up a fun hobby to make him happy instead of using his children for his "happiness."
This kind of thought pattern would lend itself very easily for a pedophile....children as means to "happiness..." nirvana, and an all around good time.
Very selfish man/boy/it/freak. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: lodgebo | | I actually feel sorry for those kids and I don't think that either Jackson or Rowe should be allowed any access to them at all these are probably the 2 worst parents on the face of this planet. You have Jackson who keeps one of has on of his kids using a veil at all times, he dangles the other from a window and to top it all the man has been accused twice of child molestation, and then Rowe the women who will abandon a child for the right price, she's a real class act.
These kids should be given to a couple that would treat them as children not toys to play with or products that can be sold. | | Reply To this Message

| Posted by: schmiggens | | In all fairness though, we don't know the details of why Debbie married Michael, why she had kids and why she gave them up. It may have all been agreed to before they even got married. She may just have been a surrogate mother and the marriage was a sham to make people think more kindly of Michael having children.
While I don't neccesarily agree with what Debbie did, it does happen all the time, surrogate mothers are becoming more and more common.
If it ends up that she really was just a surrogate mum, can this case have implications in other cases of surrogate mothers wanting custody of the children they agreed to give to another person? | | Reply To this Message
