Hilary Duff Starts College

Hillary Duff in Harvard

Although teenaged actress Hillary Duff has enrolled in Harvard, the 17 year old has not stepped foot on campus.

"I just started my first day of college on Monday [Jan. 31]. I'm taking on-line classes for Harvard University," she writes in her official website diary at www.hilaryduff.com. "The teachers film their lectures then link it to the web and I can watch them teach and take notes from my computer," she adds.

According to Zap2it.com, the 17-year-old starlet has returned to her Los Angeles home after touring Canada and parts of the U.S. This attempt in learning will be interrupted, however, since she has two more concerts to perform in Texas in March. (ANI)

Harvard Crimson Mocks Hilary Duff's Extension Enrollment

The Harvard Crimson blasted Hilary Duff after the teen queen told fans on her website that she's taking classes at the prestigious school online.

"Hilary Duff is a loser and a chicken," the school newspaper's staff writes. "For all her supposed 'fame', our new (extension) freshman princess refuses to join thefacebook(forextensionschools).com and compete with all the other (extension) students out there for the most (extension) friends. Man-up (extension) Duff. It’s one thing to say you go to Harvard (extension), but it’s another to live la vida Harvard (extension)."
