I have some obsessions:

1. I love to peel sunburned skin.
2. I love the sound of finger nails clipping. (The clip, clip sound when you cut them.)
3. I love to peel off glue dried hands.
4. I love to cut out my cat's fur balls.
5. I love to write years repeatedly. (For instance, I calculate years like 1988-1, 1989-2 and I always love to take up the whole page.
6. I love to smell papers and pen ink.
7. I love to smell books and newspapers.
8. I love to hold pens.

What are some of your obsessions that people think are ridiculous or funny?

This picture is my favorite and I have the urge to peel it off always:

I also want to rip into this one too:

I am obsessed with:

Filing my nails
Celebrity gossip
Money

I don't know if you'd call it obsessed, but I do peel sunburn, I can't stand peeling skin. SKin is supposed to smooth, not all gross and peeling and bubbley and bleuk. Yeah I guess you'd say I am obsessed.

IF I get a bacon cheeseburger, the bacon must be lined up. I will rearrange bacon.

My daughters doll house must have all the furniture in the rooms in the right order or I can't sleep at night.

I love the sound of breaking glass, as in when you score and break glass.

I am obsessed with checking INR to see if I missed anything while I was sleeping.

How could I forget? CHOCOLATE!

I will admit that I am obsessive about plucking my eyebrows. I don't overpluck, but I check all the time.

How could I forget to mention my obsession with Lucy Lawless? I should walk in shame for that!!

Reply To this Message

Posted by: schmiggens

I used to be obsessive about my eyebrows as well. But they fell out, so now it's my nails. If my nails fell out, I'd be screwed

I also don't like mess, things can be dirty, but not messy. If there's things on the table, they can be there, but they have to be organised. I am very organised, my office and my study at home are like filing heaven A place for everything and everything in it's place.
But I am not so obsessed as to clean other people's houses or anything, almost, but not yet.

I am really prissy about my hands being clean. I clean under my nails all the time, but I go CRAZY because doing stained glass makes your hands rough for about a week when you cut and grind glass. I hate having my hands not be baby smooth. FINE. I will say it. I am prissy.

Reply To this Message

That is just the opposite of me. I love to have my hands rough.

I'm pretty obsessed with my eyebrows too.

But, the thing that I am just crazy about is pictures, hanging straight. I'm constantly fixing them in my home and sometimes even at other people's homes. When I initially hang them, I'll even use a level.

I'm obsessive about emptying my ashtray. If there's more than like three butts in it it's gotta get emptied.

1) computers & internet stuffs
2) the sound of a fan- can't sleep without a fan on
3) music- something is constantly playing. 700 + songs and I've almost friggin memorized all the lyrics. I need some more music
4) doing stupid things with friends
5) if I'm looking at a paper for any length of time, they have to be straight and parallel with the edge of the desk.
6) my mouse pad has to be hanging over the keyboard slide-out edge. not a lot, just a little

oh and gas...i hate having less than 2/8s of a tank.

I have to see the previews at the movies. If I'm running late, I'd rather not go.

I'm like that with previews too. It drives me crazy when my movie going companions cause a delay.
I used to obsessively lock the doors. Not so much any more.
Ok this might gross people out but I'll admit it, lately I've been obsessively playing with my boobs. I'm a few months away from delivering my first baby and lately when I squeeze my boobs I begin to lactate in tiny amounts. I don't know why this has me so facinated...it's just cool because its a new trick for my girls (boobs) and I can't stop playing with them! Sorry if that offends anyone.
Oh yeah, and I'm obsessed with Goran Visjnic, that HOT Croatian doctor on "ER". That's all I can think of right now.

I can't stand ticking clocks either. The room has to be dark, and I have to sleep on the side of the bed closest to the door.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: MistyRainWater6

Can't be completely silent though. I've noticed that quite alot of people seem to have a thing about fans needing to be on when they sleep...I'm the same way for some reason, a fish tank or a fan has to be on, some type of soothing noise. Complete silence for some reason bothers me when I am trying to sleep. I just don't see why it does.

Reply To this Message

Posted by: peregr!n

I like there to be some sound....like the sound of a T.V somewhere in the house, or cars going past. Silence is just kinda eerie at night.

I don't need anything... I prefer no noise, at all... but, a low volume cd playing is always nice.

That's never bugged me.

As a matter of fact, when I was a kid, a friend was spending the night. I woke up the next morning, and he goes in my closet and takes out my clock. I guess it was driving him nuts and he had to stash it.

I usually crash out with the TV on. In my apartment, my bedroom is over the street, so I hear cars go by every now and again. Doesn't really bug me.

But if my roommate is awake and talking on the phone, it rattles me. I can't stand hearing people talk for some reason... unless it's the TV. I know it's weird.

I've done stuff like that before. I either have to put headphones on, or shove it somewhere I can't hear it ticking. I don't know what it is, most other noises don't bother me but I just can't stand ticking clocks, there's nothing more annoying when I am trying to fall asleep.

The only thing that wakes me is one of my kids crying. Otherwise, I am out. I fell asleep in a baja bug on the freeway. We were coming back from L.A. the bug was bouncing with every rut in the road, the seats are bolted upright, and there I am asleep with my head against the window. Ron could not believe that I slept through that.

I slept through a hurricane once. I was visiting my Dad in Florida, and we were driving back from Epcot. There was water running over the top of the car and trees falling at the sides of the road and i was asleep in the back of the car ^_^ I was 9.

Obsessions?

1. I wash my hands all the time. Especially after I have been driving. Touching the steering wheel grosses me out.

2. I have to sleep with a fan going. On high preferably. It doesn't matter if it's 100 degree's below zero. Thank God my husband has the same obsession.

3. Even though I am right handed, I wear my watch as a left handed person would (on my right hand). I can't wear anything on my left wrist. It's more like a phobia I guess.

4. I am obsessed with blue ink pens. I will not use black ink. ONLY blue.

5. I am also obsessed about keeping everything. I'm a certified pack rat. If I have to throw something away, I cry because I know I'll need it as soon as they haul it off to the trash.

6. I lock my car doors every time I get out of the car. Even if I am only getting out for a few seconds. I never leave my car doors unlocked.

I don't know how y'all can sleep with a TV or radio going. That keeps me wide awake and irritates me when my husband has the TV on while I'm trying to sleep. I can't handle it.

My buddies wife is the same way about the fan, regardless of the weather.

I usually sleep with the TV or radio on, force of habit. I dig listening to ESPN or sports radio before I rack. I usually wake up in the middle of the night and shut it off though.

I always wipe I silverware off with my napkin at a restaurant.

Then I turn the lights on and off 50 times before I go anywhere. Kidding.

I triple check that all my doors and windows are locked before I go to bed.

I set and re-set my alarm 3 or 4 times - and I have to have my backup cell alarm on too, just in case.

Every door, drawer and cabinet has to be closed in the house or it bugs the hell out of me.

I sleep with the tv on sometimes, at a really low volume. But I HAVE to set the sleep timer on it or it'll wake me up at 4am. Never fails.

I sleep with the sheets and covers over me even when it's 5000 degrees. I may wake up with them half off, but i can't sleep without the covers wrapped around me.

I do the car door lock deal. Front door too. I can hang with the bedroom windows open, prefer it.

Whenever I leave the house I do the wallet-keys-cell phone self-pat down. It's like a weird baseball sign or something.
