GORGEOUS hotel heiress Paris Hilton says she's sick of being labelled a spoiled brat. The 23-year-old socialite who stars alongside Nicole Richie, daughter of singer Lionel, in TV reality show The Simple Life wants her showbiz career to be taken seriously .

Paris said: 'I've been working really hard. I'm recording an album, I'm acting in movies, I'm doing this show. And I've done it all on my own. I'm really not a spoiled brat. I'm a sweet person.'

The girls have just completed filming for The Simple Life 2.

HILTON'S BILL SHOCK

Sexy socialite Paris Hilton was reportedly livid when the bill for a meal she'd enjoyed with pals turned her evening sour -- because she had to pay for it.

The reality-TV star dined out in a top Los Angeles eatery and was horrified to discover her fun night out would cost her, having become accustomed to a life where the best things are usually free, according to Britain's Daily Star newspaper.

A source says, "Paris was with about five friends and was having such a laugh until the bill arrived.

"Her party kept whispering before Paris finally realized she had to pay the bill, which was around $600. She obviously isn't used to paying for stuff and looked horrified.

"In the end she stumped up the money but seemed far from happy."

I hate rich people who are tight with their money. Especially rish people who haven't worked for their money. I'd understand someone being a bit tight if it was hard earned money that you'd slaved for with your own blood sweat and tears, but she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. It is just gets on my nerves.

Paris Hilton has launched her own jewelry line, and it's all pink.

The blonde socialite's Paris Hilton Collection is currently available on Amazon.com and includes earrings, bracelets, necklaces, a belly chain and a belly bar, all in sterling silver and pink crystal.

She says, "I just looked into my style and looked through my jewelry and things I liked and used that when I was designing and sketching.

"I thought my fans would want to have part of me, something I designed. A young girl is able to afford it; it looks expensive but it's not."

Paris Hilton has trademarked her name to ensure nobody gets the chance to cash in on her success.

The blonde beauty has her reality show "The Simple Life," a Guess modeling contract and upcoming movies to thank for her star status -- and she's determined to take control of her image.

Hilton is now seeking to expand her empire by legally trademarking her name and an original logo of a tiara bearing the letter "P" for Paris. She filed the legal documents in July.

According to the documents, she seeks the exclusive legal rights to use her name on a wide variety of goods and services, ranging from clothing to footwear, paper goods, rubber stamps, pre-paid calling cards, cosmetics and household or kitchen utensils and containers.

OK, so to strart off with she's only famous for being a rich "somebody", then as a model, movie "star", singer, TV personality, and jewellery designer and now: "clothing ... footwear, paper goods, rubber stamps, pre-paid calling cards, cosmetics and household or kitchen utensils and containers." I think people are going to start gettting sick of Paris. Oh wait .... that already happened didn't it?

HILTON THE NEW FACE OF BURGER KING?

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been approached to become the face of fast food giant Burger King.

The "Simple Life" beauty -- who recently split with boyfriend Nick Carter -- has been offered $1.2 million to do a series of adverts for the company, directed by controversial photographer David LaChapelle.

But despite the huge amount of money on offer, blonde Paris -- whose adverts would be part of a year-long campaign -- is still undecided on whether to accept the job.

A source says, "Paris was Burger King's first port of call because she was dared to spend time working in a fast food restaurant on the 'Simple Life.'

"The money is obviously a huge temptation for her but she is weighing up her options."

Hilton is reportedly on the verge of losing her ferrets -- because they're illegal to have as pets in California.

The blonde beauty has been photographed taking her unusual pets for walks, but sources now say the Department of Fish and Game wants to confiscate the rodents from her to show they're serious about ferrets and California's Prohibited Species List.

A source tells Star magazine, "In the eyes of the Department of Fish and Game, it's just as illegal to have a two-pound ferret as a 250-pound tiger."
