| OLSENS CAUGHT IN ALCOHOL DILEMMA
Teen actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen hit a stumbling block when they bought a wine package gift at a recent auction -- they were too young to legally pay for the alcohol.
The 18-year-old screen star twins attended the Scleroderma Research Foundation benefit at Caroline's On Broadway comedy club in New York on November 8, which was hosted by Bob Saget, the actor who played their dad on TV's "Full House."
The pair enthusiastically bid for a gift for their dad David -- a "Best of Napa Valley" package, which included a first-class flight for two to San Francisco, a luxurious stay at the Valley's Carneros Inn and 10 bottles of wine.
But as the legal age for alcohol consumption in the U.S. is 21, a representative for the foundation called David Olsen, who offered to pay the $58,000 for the prize himself.
Representative Charles Spaulding says, "We'll deliver it directly to him. It was our biggest donation of the evening."
