Then she was a sociallite, then an *ahem* actress, now she's a singer and has a jewlery line and fragrance and Nicky Hilton has a hand bag line.

I think what happened is that she just woke up one day and decided thats he wanted to be famous. She started going to premieres and things and when people asked who she was and heard "Hilton" as her surname, she got noticed and gradually it got more and more, until The Simple Life came out and it exploded.

Now she's just famous for being famous.
