THE NEXT BIG THING

Ciara, the 18-year-old already dubbed the First Lady of Crunk (err.. that's a kind of hip-hop) in America thanks to rap star Lil Jon, is about to blow-up big over here. Her debut single, Goodies, is out today. We caught up with her when she came to London last week.

What was the last music you bought? Destiny's Child, Ludacris and Janet Jackson

Who last saw you naked? The mirror.

What's your party poison? Really good music.

Why should we buy the single? It's a hot joint.

You're going to be the next big thing because? I'm motivated and determined to be the best at everything I do.

When did you last vomit? Ladies don't vomit.

Who's the greatest singer of all time? Michael Jackson.

What are you listening to right now? Mario.

What's been your most embarrassing celeb encounter? I've never had one.

They're looking to make the interviewee bored, so they come up with what will be seen as more interesting answers... make them say something they can use to attract attention to the article. Like Britney's answer to the last thing she had in her mouth that time

She's aight.

Her voice isn't anything special, but it's good enough. Also she can dance and the music is good, and she IS cute, so...

Seems like all the ingredients are there, in enough measure for her to be a success.

CIARA USHERED INTO LIMELIGHT

STUNNING singer Ciara has only just released her debut single in the UK, but she may look familiar.

The talented Texan made a brief appearance on Usher's video for Yeah, though blink and you'd miss her. Now, just a few months on, she has gone from backing dancer to superstar.

Her debut album has taken the US by storm, she has worked with Missy Elliott, and a full-on collaboration with Usher is on the cards.

She said: 'I've not worked on any of Usher's records, but I was in one of his videos. You only see one small piece of me - it's just for a second.

'I hope to work with Usher vocally, it would be a great collaboration.'

The sexy songstress topped the American charts with her single Goodies, which is tipped to rank highly in the UK charts tomorrow.

Ciara Crunks It Up

With her single 'Goodies' now topping the charts in the UK, Ciara popped in to Radio 1 to talk about Crunk R&B. "Crunk R&B is basically where you take Crunk music and mix it with R&B," Ciara explained. "Crunk, by itself, is high energy music - to me, I define it as the heavy metal of hip-hop. So, you take R&B and mix it with the Crunk and get Crunk R&B."

I saw her new video for the song 1-2 Step on the weekend. She looks funny in that video, like they have used CG to lengthen her body or her legs or something. When she does that 1-2 Step dance thing, her legs loook too long and all gangly and wierd. I don't know why, but it looks funny.

Missy Elliott is looking good though. Is she close to Ciara? Missy and Aaliyah were really close as well, does Missy's friendship with Ciara make people compare her to Aaliyah?

Goodies Plenty

http://www.inreview.com/attachment.php?s=&postid=534478

Ciara, the Argentinean Beyoncé, bares more than her soul at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes. Clearly, she just forgot to wear a shirt with her low-cut jeans, stuffed into what look like hooker Uggs. And obviously, the hot Latin R&B singer couldn't find a gold lamé bomber jacket with a working zipper. Double-stick tape, we curse you!

I've got to agree.

Although Ciara looks gorgeous and a lot of celebrities use the double sided tape to hold themselves in, this trend has now spread everywhere to the general public and you see young girls in hardly any clothes, stuck all over with double sided tape walking around the shopping centres.

Eventually women will just walk around with those tassels covering the parts that need to be covered. Hey, I'm all for it.

You think Lil' Kim is onto something with her nipple tassles?

Gonna have to run out and buy me some.

Yes yes! Do that, and don't forget to get pics.

I'm glad guys don't look cool unless they pile on as much clothing as possible the less skin shown, the more manly you become

Unless you have good abs.

Why does men's fashion never stray from shirt and pants? Shouldn't guys be wearing hot pants and boob tubes too? No ... hang on ... that mental picture is NOT pretty ...

I'll post a pic of myself with tassles on my nipples when you post one of yourself in hotpants and a boob tube. Deal?

I'm willing

Men create fashion, so we do all we can to force women out of clothes and men into more Though I guess most of the men who do create fashion are gay, so it doesn't make all that much sense.... hmmm...

Ciara Inspired By 'Coach Carter; Wants To Get Into Acting

Anonymous writes "VH1 reports that the movie 'Coach Carter,' inspired 'Goodies' singer Ciara to not only be in the soundtrack of the movie, but to be in the movie as well. "It's just a matter of time. I mean, I have so many aspirations, and people know that I want to do modeling, and I want to do acting for sure." Ciara has said. Read more."

She hasn't even had one really good song yet and she's already branching out into modelling and acting. Give me a break.

By really good, I meant a number 1 song or at least in the top 5 or so. I don't think she has done that, has she?

Which song is R Kellys?

"Next To You"... it's my favorite from her album, but it's no where near the greatest song he's done for another artist (I give that to "You Are Not Alone" by Michael Jackson, "Fortunate" by Maxwell or one of the songs he did for the Isley Brothers, I'm not sure...maybe "Quality Time" by Hi-Five...)

Next To You goes like: "I'm scared of being next to you, cause I'm scared of what I might do, boy you turn me on right now, I can't get down like that right now. I don't want to disturb the flow, this is not my MO, hold up wait a minute moving too fast, I want somebody that's here to last"

Man I'm good ^ that's from memory

Ciara's Musical Career 'Pre-Ordained'

Ciara recalled the moment she realized that a career as a singer was "pre-ordained" while watching Destiny's Child perform on television. "I got a lil' teary-eyed, and I got goosebumps, and I thought, I wanna do it. I'm gonna do it," she tells The Telegraph. "And I did do it."

Every girl has sat and watched someone and thought to themselves that that's what they're going to do. I used to watch Madonna and Janet Jackson and dream that one day it would be me. It's not having the dream that makes you successful, it's having the luck to be given a chance to try it that mattters.

Actually it's not the same music schmiggens. here in the states there are different regions that each has their own regional music that's specifically played there. Ciara is from Atlanta and in atl crunk music is regional...although now thanks to lil jon it's blown around the nation. It's like if someone from the UK doing garage or trip hop... it's not all the same
