SPEARS TO STAR IN MADONNA'S FILM

MADONNA has persuaded BRITNEY SPEARS to appear in the animated film version of her children's book THE ENGLISH ROSES. The MATERIAL GIRL superstar pleaded with the TOXIC singer to voice the story's heroine BINAH - and Spears was eager to accept.

Madonna, 46, has also managed to secure the vocal skills of DAVID BOWIE and rapper SNOOP DOGG for the big-budget movie, which will be produced by her husband GUY RITCHIE. The pop veteran herself will voice the FAIRY GODMOTHER in the tale of a girl - based on her eight-year-old daughter LOURDES - excluded by a group of schoolmates who are jealous of her beauty.

Point 1: Madonna should stay away from movies. I don't care if she's only a voice and not acting. NONE of her movies have been any good (A League of Their Own was Alright, but even that's pushing it)

Point 2: Didn't "Swept Away" teach Guy Ritchie anything? He really shouldn't be working with his wife.

This is going to suck! But because it's Madonna, and her books have been alittle popular, maybe she can pull it off. We'll see.

Britney Voicing Character In 'The English Roses'

Jay Leno joked during his Tonight Show monologue on Wednesday night, "According to Us Weekly, Britney Spears will be the voice of one of the characters in the film version of Madonna's book 'The English Roses'. Britney will be recording her voice track in a studio and they'll match it up with the character later. You know, same thing she does in concert."
