Jessica Simpson has blasted the trendy Atkins Diet because it left her bloated and constipated.
The pop star tried the carbohydrate-free diet in a bid to lose weight for a video and lost 15 pounds, but the weight-loss program left her feeling ill.
She says, "I was 102 pounds for about a week. Atkins really messed me up mentally. As soon as filming was over, I was so starved for carbs, I binged on them."
As a result, the singer blew up to 128 pounds in days. She then sought proper nutritional advice to arrive at the svelte and sexy body she now has.
Simpson adds, "I learned you can eat bread, but if you have it in the morning, don't have it with dinner." | |
