Rap is disappointing these days. Half the rappers out there right now would drop their heads in shame in the likes of legend Tupac.
Ain't no one sayin' anything these days. I feel rappers are losin' their hunger. I don't hear any raw lyrics anymore. These's no class. I miss Tupac, Biggie, Big L, old skool Wu-Tang, old skool Snoop, Smif n' Wessun. Even some of the female rappers...Brat, Lil' Kim, Foxy, where they at?

What do ya'll say? Do you agree?

Rap has become more mainstream is why. Becoming mainstream can be good because it exposes people to rap who might not have heard it before, but now it's just about selling records and soon we'll have manufactured rap artists like Britney was a manufactured pop artist. Well ... I think 50 cent was a manufactured artist, so it's all downhill for Rap from here on ....

When Black Child 187 and Cadillac Tah drop their albums this year, you are going to hear a whole heap of raw and uncut street lyrics. Cook cocaine and cut dope type stuff. Pushing a Benz through the hood before you even hit a booth.

yea, i feel that rawness iz missin these dayz, it getz u all upset thinkin bout it, but then again, how can we hope for it wen there cant b anotha Pac, r anotha Biggie, i agree ppl r gettin 2 mainstream, it ruins the hype, n female rapperz lik da Brat cant release nuthin cos they feel they wont b excepted properly cos they dont look it all.

i think ja keepz all this rawness there n so will caddy n blak chld, n chuck.

I guess if you don't understand the streets, you wouldn't understand my statement. You have to boil cocaine in order to make crack to sell it, and cut up cannabis leaves into $5, $10, and $20 bags to sell. "Pushing a Benz through the hood before you even hit a booth" simply means making thousands of dollars a week or even daily through selling drugs in order to buy expensive cars before getting signed to a record label and making millions of dollars. Music is recorded in a sound proof "booth"; hence, making money before you even hit a "booth".

No, those are two separate narcotics. I was trying to explain the preparations to sell each drug. Boil cocaine to make crack. Cut cannabis leaves into $5, $10, and $20 sacks.

In other words, Black Child and Cadillac Tah always spit the specifics of the street game, unlike their nemesis Curtis "Run Tell Dat" Jackson.
