German supermodel Heidi Klum and singer Seal are engaged to be married, Klum announced on her Web site.
"We affianced on a glacier in Whistler (Canada). We reached this beautiful place by helicopter one day before Christmas Eve. It was a unique experience," said a posting on Klum's Web site. Whistler is a ski resort town in British Columbia.
Klum, 31, and Seal, 41, started dating last year, shortly after her breakup with Renault Formula One team boss Flavio Briatore, who is the father of her daughter, Leni, born in May.
Klum, who is a Victoria's Secret model and has appeared in Sports Illustrated magazine's swimsuit issue, separated from her husband of five years, celebrity hairstylist Ric Pipino, in November 2002.
Seal's "Love's Divine" is nominated for a Grammy Award in the male pop vocal competition. His "Kiss From a Rose" won for record and song of the year, and he also grabbed the award for best male pop vocal performance at the Grammys in 1996.
Newly engaged stars Heidi Klum and Seal are setting up home in Los Angeles as they start life as an official couple. The pair, who became engaged last month, have bought a Bel Air estate for $4.3 million. The new home comes with four bedrooms and ocean and city views.
First he survives some crazy sickness that gouges craters into his face as a child(no, they aren't from some tribal ritual, from what's been reported...), then he becomes successful in his music career, and he always seems to have some BEEE-OOOtiful model on his arm... He's an enigma, but more power to him. Congrats to the couple.
Heidi Klum has had plenty to smile about since pop star Seal proposed to her at a Canadian mountain resort over Christmas. Though the stunning German supermodel has yet to reveal the date for the big day, she was spotted at a mid–season party for her TV show on Tuesday sporting a dazzling oval canary diamond engagement ring.
Heidi, who hosts the television reality series Project Runway, was elegant in a black silk outfit which proved the perfect foil for the enormous yellow rock glowing on her left hand.
Natural coloured diamonds, often referred to as fancy diamonds, are very rare and expensive - only one in every 10,000 carats is a naturally coloured stone. They have become increasingly popular with stars over the last few years thanks to their exclusivity. After Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez with an exquisite pink stone, jewellers noticed a significant increase in the demand for coloured betrothal rings.
And yellow rocks have been the latest trend amongst celebs planning a trip down the aisle. Actor Dennis Quaid proposed to his wife Kimberly Buffington last summer with a canary diamond, while Sports Illustrated model Veronica Varekova also received a stunning canary yellow stone from her hockey star beau Petr Nedved.
Seal and fiance Heidi Klum, dressed as dragons, threw sweets to the crowd during a carnival parade in Klum's home town, Bergisch Gladbach, on Sunday (February 6). I'd be so worried about breaking it or losing it or something. I'd never leave the house with it on. Can you get insurance for a ring like that in case you lose it? Or only if it gets stolen?
SUPERMODEL Heidi Klum is about to tie the knot with fiance Seal. The couple, who have bought a $4million love nest in Bel-Air , were spotted buying wedding rings in New York the other day . Insiders say no date has been set, but it can't be far off.
Engaged couple Seal and Heidi Klum have convinced pals their marriage is imminent, after purchasing his and her wedding rings.
The 41-year-old singer -- who proposed to the German supermodel on December 23 during a trip to the Canadian ski resort Whistler -- was spotted scanning jewelry shop displays with Klum in New York last week.
A source tells Page Six, "No specific dates have been set but they are getting ready to tie the knot sometime soon."
The loved-up pair recently bought a Bel Air estate for $4.3 million.

It's funny, before they were engaged I was only kind of vaguely aware that they were dating. Now that they're engaged, they're everywhere together. It's been good publicity for them both that's for sure.
German model Heidi Klum and her British singer fiance Seal have announced they are expecting a baby.
It's been a busy start to the year for the couple who only said in January that they were planning to tie the knot.
Heidi, 31, already as a 10-month-old daughter, Leni, by Italian tycoon Flavio Briatore but were over by the time she was born last May.
On her website, the swimsuit star said: "Heidi, Seal and especially Leni, are proud to tell you that we recently found out that we are expecting our second child.
"There is nothing that gives us greater happiness than the realisation of our dream. Thanks to all of you that have been sending us happy thoughts."
There has been no official word on when the baby might make its appearance, but showbiz insiders are touting September as the likely month.
Heidi and Seal, 42, are also keeping the lid on when they plan to prance down the aisle.
Congratulations to them both. He seems to do very well in fathering her other daughter, so I think he will make a great dad. I don't mean to sound mean, but I wonder what the baby's going to look like. Of course, Heidi is gorgeous, but it's kind of hard to really know what Seal looks like under those scars.
Heidi ... has just been dropped from a modelling contract ... because she is pregnant.
I really thought we were over all that kind of stuff.
Big is beautiful. Pregnancy is only natural. I can't believe that this company would be so narrow-minded as to drop her because of this. She'll back in shape two weeks after the birth, as every celebrity is, and it won't be a problem.
Heidi Klum claims being pregnant hasn't stopped her from enjoying a steamy sex life with fiancé Seal.
The German supermodel is due to give birth to her second child this September and Heidi says she's never felt sexier.
The blonde beauty - who already has a ten-month-old daughter, Leni, with Italian Formula One tycoon Flavio Briartore - said: "I feel very sexy when I'm pregnant. Some women say they could never have sex during pregnancy but it certainly didn't hold us back. You're more feminine when you're pregnant, and femininity is sex."
Heidi also says she is enjoying sex so much because she has a great lover in Seal.
Earlier this month, Heidi and Seal - who got engaged last Christmas - announced they were expecting their first child together. In a statement, Seal said at the time: "Heidi, myself and especially Leni are proud to tell you that we recently found out that we are expecting our second child. There is nothing that gives us greater happiness than the realisation of our dream. Thanks to all of you that have been sending us happy thoughts."
Supermodel Heidi Klum's former employers at German fashion house Otto have denied her claims they fired her because she's pregnant.
The catwalk beauty accused the world's largest mail-order retailer of canceling its contract with her when bosses heard she's expecting a child with fiance Seal.
She told readers of her Web site HeidiKlum.com, "Otto has made use of a clause and canceled my contract because I'm pregnant. With this collection, I'll be saying goodbye to all the women and babies who liked to wear the clothes I designed."
But an Otto spokesperson counters, "We were forced to terminate our contract with Klum because she missed an important meeting with us without reason."
Klum's maternity and baby clothes will be available via Otto until June.
Seal reveals he is to marry Heidi Klum this summer
The Grammy-nominated singer, who proposed to the stunning supermodel at Christmas, says the couple will tie the knot before their baby is born in September. He revealed: "We are definitely going to get married before the baby is born."
Last month, Seal, who popped the question to Heidi while staying in an igloo, announced the couple were expecting their first child together.
The star - who is stepfather to Heidi's ten-month-old daughter, Leni, by Formula One Boss Flavio Briatore - said: "Heidi, myself and especially Leni are proud to tell you that we recently found out that we are expecting our second child. There is nothing that gives us greater happiness than the realisation of our dream. Thanks to all of you that have been sending us happy thoughts."
Last December, Heidi confessed she was desperate to have a baby with Seal, 41, real name Sealhenry Samuel.
The 31-year-old, who has been dating the star since she split from Flavio, while she was still pregnant, told friends she was keen to start a family as soon as possible after being overwhelmed by Seal's fatherly abilities.
Supermodel Heidi Klum and her pop star fiance Seal are secretly planning to become husband and wife on a Mexican beach Tuesday, according to reports.
Gossip columnists in New York claim the couple, who became engaged at Christmas, have been planning the beach bash for months. They're rumored to have invited 40 of their closest friends and family
Klum is scheduled to give birth to the couple's child in September.
There's clearly something in the air - after another celebrity couple become Mr and Mrs.
This time, it's Seal who's made an honest woman of Heidi Klum after they tied the knot on a Mexican beach.
Unlike that cheeky Renee Zellweger - who no one even knew was going out with her now hubby Kenny Chesney - Heidi and Seal announced their engagement just before Christmas. Supermodel Heidi is expecting their first child together this autumn and it's believed she wore a Vera Wang ivory Chantilly lace frock for the occasion - with an empire waist (for the bump).
Her spokeswoman confirmed that they were married yesterday - but refused to disclose any further details. However, it's reported that the low-key ceremony was conducted in front of 40 guests near Seal's home on the luxurious Costa Careyes, Mexico.
Seal proposed to the German model in a snow cave at 14,000ft on a ski resort in Canada in December. The model already has a one-year-old daughter, Leni, with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.
The lovely Seal, 42, dedicated his latest album, Best 1991 - 2004, to the child, Heidi and her parents.
Newlywed Heidi Klum is preparing to dominate gardens all over her native Germany -- after agreeing to lend her name to a new rose.
The German model, who recently married singer Seal on the west coast of Mexico, will be attending the launch of the Heidi Klum Rose on May 23 at a garden center near her Bergisch Gladbach hometown.
Klum says it's a huge honor to join other German greats in the plant world.
She enthuses, "Roses are the favorite flowers of many people, especially of many women -- me, too. But I would have never dreamt of giving my name to such a noble plant. Its name is even patented by the German grower who developed this new type near Hamburg. My rose is a little bushy rose for the garden, over and over scattered with purple blossoms.
"It's an honor for me to lend my name to this wonderful plant. Other types of roses are known as Herzog of Windsor, Albrecht Duerer Rose or other great persons. And I hope all fans of gardening like the Heidi Klum Rose so that it will still bloom when my personal flowering time is over."
October 14th: Supermodel Heidi Klum and her husband, the singer Seal, make a trip to the United States Federal building in Los Angeles with a bodyguard in tow.
Heidi: he sometimes wakes up every two hours, so we take turns. When it is Seal’s turn he grabs a bottle from the refrigerator.
But you are breast-feeding?…
Yes, and I’ll continue for a few more months. It’s totally different from how it was with Leni. Henry is hungry more often. But if I express a little milk to hold in reserve and put a few bottles in the refrigerator, Seal or my mother can lend a hand and feed him.
…and is that why you were able to attend the Emmy Awards ceremony just six days after he was born?
I was surprised myself that I was able to attend the Emmys so soon after giving birth. But I felt simply great, and today little tricks can help us be on-the-go more quickly after having a baby.
What kind of tricks?
You can take a breast pump with you, and a little cold bag for the bottles. But I ended up not needing them at the Emmys.
Everyone has remarked how great you’re looking again already…
Well im still a few pounds over my normal weight. But that’s to be expected, isn’t it? I would like to regain my old figure naturally and not overdo anything or go crazy with diet or exercise. Right now I am not really doing anything to lose weight. I am still breast-feeding after all. But I will soon be doing some exercise again. I eat well basically anything I feel like, even cookies, ice cream, and fries, but in moderation of course.
They say you are flying in you’re fitness trainer from New York?
Well I wont be starting on my fitness programme for a few weeks at the earliest, but it is more fun with my trainer David than on my own.
Tell us about the birth. Was it perfectly normal?
Yes, I was really lucky, it was easier than with Leni, maybe simply because I knew what to expect.
Did you ever consider having a caesarean section like other female celebrities?
That was never an issue. I was determined to experience the birth, and I am also scared of the thought of having my abdomen cut open, so I was lucky that the birth went very smoothly.
Erna Klum (her mom): a birth like this one was something you could not even imagine in Germany where Heidi was born. The delivery room looked like a comfortable hotel room, and Heidi gave birth in what was almost a regular bed.
Seal: we spent three days at the hospital and had adjoining rooms, one for Heidi, me, Leni and baby and one for grandma and grandpa
Heidi: the birth got under way in the morning and Henry arrived at 7.20pm. Leni was with us quite a while and then well looked after by grandma and grandpa.
And Seal held you’re hand?
Yes, but holding hands isn’t what helps. You’re partner being there is what matters. Simply to experience together the miracle of birth. Seal cut the umbilical cord, just as he did with leni.
Seal, what does a man feel at the moment of birth?
Oh god, there is so much going on inside you! But nothing was more important to me than seeing that Heidi and the baby were well. She had to do all the hard work. And then, of course, you take a look at the baby. hey, it was a boy! I wasn’t surprised. We felt the whole time that it was going to have a boy.
Heidi: we had this strong feeling before I was pregnant that our next baby would be a boy, and that we would name him Henry.
Or Henry Gunther Samuel, in full, so he takes his first and last names from his father and his middle name, Gunther,, from Heidi’s father.
Her mom: Gunther didn’t want that, but he was still pleased.
Seal how do you feel when you held you’re first child in you’re arms?
How come my first child? Leni is my first child just like Henry I saw her take shape and move in Heidi’s body. And I was present at her birth too. Leni is my daughter and Henry is my son. I am happy to have two healthy children and that Henry will soon be saying Papa to me just like Leni does already.
Heidi: she says papa more than she says mama. Leni is her daddy’s daughter. She is always looking for him and is totally fixated on seal. She even recognises his music. She always wants him to sing, and then she dances to his singing.
Seal: how did it feel when I took Henry in my arms? You think, this is a mini version of me. That must be how Heidi felt about Leni. You see, you’re son, you see that he has Heidi’s mouth, lenis nose, and you’re brown eyes, that is really crazy
Heidi: no, Henry has you’re nose
Seal: but you’re mouth.
Is Leni just a little jealous?
Heidi: she loves him a lot, cuddles him and kisses him. We have to be careful of course, because she doesn’t know how strong she is. When I was pregnant she was always coming to kiss my stomach, pushing my shirt up and shouting excitedly, ‘baby, baby baby!’ now she is already practising Henrys name. And sometimes gets it right.
What does henrys room look like?
Heidi: he doesn’t have one yet. His little white crib is in our bedroom. We want to be able to keep an eye on him all the time. He is still so tiny.
Leni already sleeps through the night, so she can sleep in her own room, which is right next to ours. But we can also see her on a monitor.
Back home in Bergisch Gladbach near cologne in Germany, my parents are busy adding an extension to their house so that the children will have their own rooms and we have childrens rooms for them in both New York apartment and at our vacation home in Mexico.
It sounds like the lap of luxury.
Heidi: true, Leni has more toys than we have furniture. And there is a play area in every room because we want to have the children around al the time. We like it when, for example, we are cooking in the kitchen and leni stands alongside is in her own toy kitchen, cooking for her dolls, she even likes washing the dishes in her little apron.
But in the midst of all this comfort, we want to educate our children to show a little humility and always consideration, especially in dealing with other people. Manners matter to us-table manners, saying please and thank-you, showing respect.
Seal you are quite romantic,. You proposed to Heidi last Christmas at the top of a 14,000ft glacier in British Columbia and the pair of you wed in the spring on a Mexican beach. What did you get Heidi as a gift to mark henrys birth?
Me? A gift? Why do people do that? (laughs)
Heidi: he got me the most wonderful gift-a healthy son.
Seal, when are you going to write a song for Heidi:
Maybe I wrote one long ago, and maybe more than one. Heidi is my first and my dearest girl. I would die for my children-like all parents. But I am Heidi’s husband first and only then a father.
schmiggens said this in post #44 :

Is so sweet that he cares for Leni just as much as Henry and he says so.
Seal and Heidi Klum must have wardrobes full of trendy togs but there are days when even celebs don't get time to dress. It certainly seemed that way when the popstar was pictured leaving the couple's New York home, holding Heidi's 16-month-old daughter Leni, dressed in his cream dressing gown.
Despite having their hands full with childcare activities, the hot pair have been keeping up a hectic schedule. The previous night Heidi was busy welcoming guests to her annual Halloween bash disguised as a vampire, while hubby Seal made a striking impression in a tight cop's outfit.
A few days earlier the mother-of-two was at charity event, helping down-and-out teenagers audition to become dancers. Quizzed about family life, Heidi admitted finding the responsibilities overwhelming at times. "It's exhausting," she confided. "But it's the best thing for us because that's what we really wanted to do. Thank God I have a man with a lot of patience, who helps me. The family is our life."
