Is cloning a scientific break through or blasphemy?

If God created man in his own image, why can't we do this?

The idea is that we aren't supposed to go that far, because we usually can't even get along with each other... Why then, should we play with life?

But isn't someone getting a heart transplant "playing with life"?

Maybe they are playing with existing, naturally occuring life by trying to extend it in that person, but actually producing life that shouldn't have existed is a totally different thing, imo.

I just think it is wrong. Each life is unique and to try to replicate a life is just wrong. Wouldn't the world be boring if all the cats were cloned, all the dogs were cloned .......
