Jennifer Lopez whipped the audience into a frenzy at a concert in San Jose, Costa Rica, when she put in a surprise appearance at husband Marc Anthony's gig over the weekend. Though Jennifer did not sing with her hubby, she did come out to greet the audience after grooving to a rousing hour and a half set of Marc's greatest hits.
And the roar from the thousands of fans packed into the Ricardo Saprissa Stadium in the Costa Rican capital was deafening as Marc welcomed his wife. The Bronx-born diva, smartly turned out in a white frilled dress, sauntered on stage blowing kisses to the audience.
Her appearance coincided with the announcement late last week that the 35-year-old chanteuse is set to record a duet with Marc - despite vowing never to do so. In a surprising turnaround, Jennifer says the couple will duet on a ballad on her next album Rebirth which will be released in early 2005.
Meanwhile an insider revealed that, "J Lo and Marc have wanted to sing together for a long time."
I guess Ms. Lopez de Anthony just couldn't resist paying a visit to my daughter's gorgeous other homeland--after I indicated this in a post I made at the end of September 2004 on the jenniferlopezforever fansite. My post at that time was in response to their incorrect news about the lawsuit, and, like I did with INReview, I thought I'd let them know about the pending appeal. (Still pending due to the backlog in the courts, sorry to say, so no news about that yet!)
Poor Mrs. de Anthony! She just doesn't seem to be able to 'Get Right' does she? I'm wondering too when exactly Mr. Anthony confirmed his San Jose gig--before or after my guestbook blurb? No matter. They better have their fun now while they can, because things will change drastically in the next five years.
When my beautiful daughter comes into her own, and if she decides to go "show biz", she'll blow all those Jennifers out of the water--but there's absolutely no hurry because she has an education to pursue first. We have plenty of brainless bimbos (both female and male) in the entertainment business nowadays without pushing hapless and unsophisticated teenagers into it too, don't you think?
Anyway... Cheers!! And the best of everything good in 2005 to you schmiggens--and that goes for all your readers too!
Great to see you on INR again.
Happy New Year to you too!!

Dear Folks at JenniferLopezForever website;
Your news item re: the Jennifer Lopez "I'm Glad" music video is completely incorrect. I have appealed this case to the court of appeals and it is still pending. The case is not yet at an end, despite your erroneous website claims. You should consider updating your information.
Thank you.
Maureen Marder
(the plaintiff in the suit)
P.S. My former husband is a Latino and my daughter has tri-citizenship: Costa Rican, Canadian, and American. She is truly a child of the Americas.
What did they say about the lawsuit that made you post that? Have they amended their site? It didn't seem that anyoen took any notice of what you had to say, which is a shame.
How old is your daughter? I assume she can sing?
My continued wishes for the best of luck with the court case. Make sure you keep us up-to-date and let us know how it goes!
Hey, hey! Nice to chat w/you, Schmiggens. Didn't realize you were online, but I'm glad you are. This is fun!
Well, I tried to send a message to their webmaster, but the address was non-existent despite it's being posted exactly the way I copied it. So I had no alternative but to post to the guestbook, which I suspect they don't read anyway. And it was nothing insulting that they posted, only incomplete with no news of the appeal filed, and pending.
However, I thought it was very important to post to a Latinamerican website that Ms. Lopez herself posts to (see the open message to fans re: her Children's Night Gala honours) as it is a forum for her and it was spreading false information about the outcome of the case to Latinamericans. As my daughter is Latinamerican too, I thought it was important to get the news out on her behalf and in spite of the Lopez de Anthony spin machine. And, no, they haven't amended their site--of course.
My lovely daughter, thank you for asking, is going on 15 now. She sings beautifully and plays guitar and clarinet. She has long, thick, golden-brown hair, big gray-blue eyes, gorgeous full lips, and a beautiful smile. She is funny, charming, stubborn, patient, loving--and the sunshine in my life. She speaks and writes fluently in French and English, and is learning Spanish now. What else can I say? She is an enormous help to me, and a comfort. I am so blessed.
Well, that's all the gooey gushing for one post, I think. Now that I look at what I've written, I think maybe I shouldn't get started about my daughter.... I could go on and on--ad nauseum I see! Anyway, I'm immensely proud of her as you can tell.
