Did anyone watch this show?

I just finished watching the first season last night and I am completely and utterly confused. I don't understand how a show could have so many unanswered questions at the beginning and leave you with an even greater amount of unanswered questions by the show's end...

Who exactly is management? Who in the world is supposed to be good, and who is supposed to be evil? I gather Brother Justin is evil, but even Ben is killing people. Will they ever meet and confront one another? Who is scudder? What happened to him?

Why, HBO, why! I try my best to be good, and I only watched the darn show because I thought it was going somewhere! When the next season comes on, I'll continue watching, just to find out....... but I wont be happy about it

We watched Carnivale last year. It totally pissed me off. I have no clue who is evil and who is not. Ron loved it.

My thoughts. I think brother Justice is the "anti-christ" of the series. I think Ben is good, and that management is the devil. BUT, I am not sure.

IF I remember correctly, Scudder was Ben's father. He had a gift and ran out on the family. I will ask Ron about this and post when I know for sure.

Yeah, Scudder is Ben's father, but beyond that... you don't know anything. Like what happened in the old country? I guess Scudder killed some people or something, I dunno.

I think Justin is evil too, and Ben is... well, i dunno, maybe a bringer of justice or something. Management... I dunno... really don't. Why do they want Scudder?

I swear, if they don't answer any of this in the next few seasons.... I'm... I'm only gonna watch it for another 2 seasons after that!!!

Scudder killed all the people in the mine. As Bens father, he may be able to bring Ben over to do what management wants of him. Yep, if they don't answer some of this stuff, I will only watch 2 more seasons, well maybe 3.

I can''t waste my time on a show that pisses me off so much.

Its degrading and makes no sense. for get it and watch Boston Legal now there is a real show, Actors who can act, A script that lives. Man forget this Carnivale best take a Carnival cruise instead.

It started up again, and I am still confused but not as much.

WHY does this show have to have so many scenes that are in the dark? I am tired of totally black screens on this show. They expect us to know what is going on, but they do this.

anyone? Dang. I want to talk about the show. It is getting really good now.

Tell me about it then... I can't see myself remembering when it comes back on here (probably a year from now)

The twist is that Managment is Justin's father!
The final battle should begin this weekend in the cliffhanger.

This show gave me the creeps so I really didn't give it a chance .

What have I missed? Too long, Well; it will be in RERuns I m sure.
I don't like to see "little People" it makes me turn away,thats why I stopped watching it.

Give me a good reason to watch. Oh I also don't like the filthy Deadwood

It creeps me out to, but I have to watch it. I just have to. Let's see. Management was good, Ben had to kill him to try to save his dad. This was arranged by management so that his powers would go to Ben. Now Ben has to face off with Justin who kidnapped and killed Scudder. Sophie, the tarot reader, left the carnivale and is now a maid in Justin's house! We found out in a flash back by Iris that Justin raped Sophies mom, so he is her father and only Iris has realized it. Iris and the reverend that is ill want to kill Justin to stop his evil.

Sounds like the story is actually going somewhere now that's good. I'll catch it when it comes back on.

My pet gave me the first season of this for Christmas. I haven't really watched it yet though. I've never even seen it before. I tried watching some of it the other night but my brother and his wife and their...demon came over and,...well,...there goes that idea.

I think I'll wait until I can watch it with my pet. That way if I get confused I'll have someone who can explain it to me
