I am buying my dog a soccer ball for Christmas.

We bought my bro-in-law a ball for his birthday about six months ago and our dog, Lee, went spaz caz he wanted it so bad, so he's finally getting his own soccer ball.

I generally make or buy them treats on special occasions. Like christmas, birthdays, easter... weekends

I dont know..I havent had a dog in like 15 years...now that we are getting one on Christmas I would imagine that will change.

My mom however buys every dog in the family a gift...(treats and a chew toy or something)...so I guess my dog will be added to that list now too.

It helps keep them from chewing up the bows. My cat always goes for the bows, so now we skip them.

In my family, the pets are just as much a part of the gift exchange as the humans are.

The pets in my family always get new toys and treats. Catnip sacks and little jingle balls go a long way with my brother's and mother's cats. I bought my brother's cat a big kitty condo this year. My birds always get new whistling CDs and specialty toys, as well as new mirrors to satisfy their narcissistic needs. I couldn't imagine not including the pets. My mother and brother's cats were visiting last week and discovered the kitty condo in its hiding place. I hope it didn't ruin the surprise for them.
