Word on the street is that Jessica Simpson is currently working on an exercise video. She got the idea from all the squats and lunges she's been doing to firm up her butt to play Daisy Duke in the Dukes of Hazzard movie. In addition to a video, she also hopes to come out with her own line of exercise equipment.

I don't know about the equipment, but as long as she wears some tight workout clothes and bares her signature breasts, I'm sure the video will sell just fine. Just fine indeed.

SIMPSON 'FACING LAWSUIT' OVER FITNESS VIDEO

Pop beauty Jessica Simpson is facing a legal battle with fitness company SpeedFit, after disagreements over the singer's workout style in an exercise video.

The "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" reality TV star signed a multi-million dollar contract with SpeedFit last year to star in a fitness video.

After seeking help from trainer Michael Alexander to get into shape for her hotpants-wearing role of Daisy Duke in the film adaptation of "The Dukes of Hazzard," Simpson reportedly wanted Alexander's workout to be incorporated into the video, reports In Touch Weekly magazine.

The magazine reports SpeedFit producers told Simpson that Alexander's style didn't fit their idea of fitness and are now considering a lawsuit.

Simpson's business manager says, "We've been trying to make this work. We thought Mike would increase the marketability of the exercise program."

I think they should incorporate Michaels's stuff in the video. Have you seen her body from the Dukes promo pictures?! She has got the most smokin' body you've ever seen.

That alone will sell heaps of videos, who cares about what "style" it is. As long as it gets results, and it obviously does, it'll sell.

FITNESS QUEEN SIMPSON LAUNCHES TREADMILL LINE

Pop star-turned-actress Jessica Simpson is fast becoming the new Jane Fonda after signing up to launch a treadmill range.

The singer spent six days a week getting her body into the perfect shape for her role as sexy Daisy Duke in new movie "The Dukes of Hazzard," and she's so impressed with the results she wants to give fans the chance to get into Duke shape.

So, as well as bringing out a new workout video with her personal trainer, Simpson is also endorsing a new home treadmill line.

She says, "I have a workout video coming out and now everybody can do the Daisy Duke workout, and I have a treadmill line that I'll be selling.

"I hope the film inspires others to really want to get in shape. It's the toughest challenge. It was extra tough for me because I was going to be on a big screen in a bikini.

"For any girl, I think that would put them on the treadmill and doing extra squats. I was in the gym six days a week, two-and-a-half-hours a day with a trainer."
