Hers has always been one of pop's most exposed bodies.
So it was somewhat surprising last year when Kylie Minogue, at the age of 36, declared she had not only grown out of stripping off, but was shocked at how 'disgusting' some of her younger rivals' videos were.
"I want to be sexy by covering up and being a bit more classy," she said.
"I want to move away from the flesh thing as that's everywhere now. When I see some hip-hop videos I'm just as appalled as my grandmother. I think to myself, 'My God, what sort of disgusting things are they doing'?"
But with a new single and greatest hits album to sell, Miss Minogue appears to have changed her mind.
Sprawled across a bed
In her latest photoshoot for GQ magazine, she parades about variously in her underwear, fishnet stockings, leopard-print stilettos and a skimpy bodice.
In some pictures, she is sprawled across a bed and in others flashes her behind as she climbs a flight of stairs.
Curiously for a woman who has courted fame and fortune half of her life, Miss Minogue claims in the accompanying interview that she yearns for anonymity.
"I'd get on the bus," she says. "Just walking around would be a treat." Had she ever gone out wearing a disguise? "It never works. You end up looking like an idiot. I've tried it."
